@FantasyFinal4 The just more or less just chronicles the various jobs the group of characters encounter during their work, and exploring the depths of their personalities and issues in a rather serious light. This doesn't make for a slow show though. It takes 5-6 episodes to get into it, and for all the characters to be introduced. After that, it's really one of the most depressing and bleak yet happy and enlightening shows ever made. And hell yeah the music rocks.

@TheDavid2222 if you're looking for something similar to CB then i'd recommend Ghost in The Shell. It also has a more mature fleshed out storyline and world. If you've seen that then check out the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, then the ending movies, then the remake movies. (problem with NGE is the plot becomes very convoluted at the end, but with the help of wikipedia etc you can figure it out.) If you've seen both these series then we're in the same boat!

I can also suggest trying Outlaw Star, Ergo Proxy, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Planetes, Black Lagoon, Darker Than Black series, Ghost in The Shell franchise, Freedom & Akira, some of the Macross movies/series, RahXephon, Eureka Seven...I guess I could go on and on.

Basically, Earth is now ruined but we've colonized the solar system. Not all parts of space are safe, and pirates and renegades and anyone out for profit lurk in its depths and on the moons and planets.
