Quilombo are not there any more I believe. Unidos de Londres have made an improvement for the last 2 years but Paraiso is the true Brazilian and still the top samba school in the UK. I'm sure you will agree if you see them parading or watch their shows in person. Their teachers and carnavalesco, Maite and Henrique, are UK's most accomplished and their bateria is led by Mestre Esteves - they are all Brazilian and heavely involved in Rio carnival.
@ecoory What about Toque Tambor? Or Bloco Do Sol Nascente? Or Rhythms of the City? There are many fantastic samba bands outside of London too, all playing alongside musicians from Rio.
