@Kharandis This video was done the moment they announced the title of the episode. While I didn't hate the episode it had a lot to like, I didn't love it either. They really wasted the Hitler stuff. They could have just about cut Hitler out of the "Downfall" film and saved a few extra bucks.

I found it interesting that in this episode they showed an early version of River Song as a black lady. It was speculated that after David Tennant that the next actor to play Dr. Who would be black. They are showing that a time lord can appear to be any race and maybe any gender after they regenerate. This really opens up the possibilities of what the next Dr. Who will be.

@powerone1 That's very true! And there were some great names circulating between Tennant and Smith. Paterson Joseph, and Colin Salmon come to mind, both had already appeared in Who, and both would have been amazing at playing him. Also in "The Doctor's Wife" they said a certain timelord had been both male and female at least twice.

Amy murders someone. It doesn't matter if that timeline gets erased, for Amy that still happened, and she has to live with it. I don't know about you, but I'd call that "weight and consequence for the protagonists" :P

@JamieHowitt How does she remember exactly? They still haven't explained why Rory can still remember being a Centurion even though that wasn't really Rory. And how is that River still had her Tardis diary at the end of Big Bang if The Doctor never existed? Last season ended on a massive cop-out, so I can only expect the same when it comes to this season's and storyline's "resolution". Same for whoever the "antagonist" is- it's just as bad as Buffy's last season- vague big bads never work.

Not only has Amy witnessed her husband die multiple times, realize she's been abducted and placed in some sort of vat thing, but she's also had her daughter taken from her- and yet, watching the show, you'd never guess all that was going on. Moffat should stick to sitcoms, cos his mojo is lost in translation with Who.

@KeaneshapedTardis She saw Rory die twice - the first time drove her to commit suicide (albiet in a dream), and the second time (his real death) left her distraught, and almost had the same breakdown when he almost drowned in series 6.

Episode 7 was set some time after she realised she had been abducted, and we haven't seen Amy since her baby was taken, so I don't see how those are valid points either :)

@JamieHowitt For the scene when they happened there was gravitas. But that's it. I've yet to see her mature at all as a character. She's a static as you can get. At least with past companions we saw some depth and arcs. We've been with these characters for over a season and a half and there's been NO growth.

Don't get me wrong, she started off with a lot of promise in the premiere, but it soon became evident there actually isn't much to her character. There isn't even much to like- I mean, Rory makes a much more interesting companion and likeable companion. Whenever Amy mistreats him she just comes across like an ungrateful b****.

I think you're getting this confused with the fact that Rory's been de-balled after "Vampires of Venice" when he actually was out to show up The Doctor. Since then, like with the Silurians- Amy goes missing, Rory asks where she is, Doctor says he'll handle it, Rory's like ::shrug:: w/e. Again____ no growth.
