  • Indeed a great fish, but if you´re gonna eat it then at least have the decency to kill it right away.

  • love the fish man lake 41 en near parrysound ? would love to go fish for them but can't find a place in muskoka if you no where let me in man

  • Mine best brookie was 20" and 4lbs in Maine right when the lure hit the water I had the fish:)

  • thats how we fish in northern Ontairio:)

  • thats not 6 pounds i would put it at 4

  • @InfraRed68 That's 6 pounds, easy

  • Looks like the Park. Old Woman Lake, Mackwan, Balargian, etc.

  • dude nice video its sad that someone who keeps STOCKED trout gets labled when he's doing a perfectly acceptable thing. I release all my wild trout and steelhead but I will keep a stocked fish for the table. nice fish

  • Kwagama Lake Lodge has Brook Trout like this too.

  • you guys are fags. brook trout are delicate and tender. you obviously dnt know anything bout trout. leave the guy alone

  • YOUR SUCH A COCKY DOUCHE BAG! OMG! I would seriously punch you...

  • that is the BIGGEST brook trout i have ever seen MAN

  • dum yank release him

  • @physojim douche

  • did you actually weigh this fish.. it looks like more of a 4-5 lbr than a 6 lbr but i cant tell on camera and i dont know how big you are handling it..

    Looks like a monster regardless!!!

keep up the fishing and who cares if you keep a couple for dinner. there stocked fish..there will be more for the kids.. trust me

  • no one puts 5 pound stocked brook trout on their wall guy.

nice net u fuck nut. and u r clearly an expert listening to ur bull shit antics on why they re colored that way cause of the food they eat. wata ya stupid

  • @ECSmurf are you stupid? he said nothing about the food they eat makes them colored he said they are that way becouse they are stocked. he also didnt say it was for his wall...can u read? if you can then read what he said right above this.

  • is this on ivanhoe river ?

  • you came from michigan to fish stocked fish = faggot

  • @aerosmith37 due the michigan brook trout fishing isnt what it once was.

  • @aerosmith37 dude the michigan brook trout fishing isnt what it once was.

  • @Fishslayers51 prince Edward island isnt what it used too be either for fishing....seems every year something is fucking up the fish worldwide

  • @aerosmith37 yeah I'll give you that stuff does keep getting screwed up. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of a streamfront on a brook trout stream in michigan. nothing like that fish but all wild and a few decent ones like 10-12"

  • planted=gay

  • i caught a brooky this big just recently with a spinner on the albany river 300m from ontarion.

it was natural thoug,, they taste soo godd breaded

  • I feel so retarded I caught a 4 and a half pound rainbow trout and I thought it was the biggest fish in the world, but you caught a 5 pound like it was nothing. I guess for a 12 year old, 4 pounds is big lol

  • I still have the jig I caught it on. The hook was broken off! Only landed it because he'd wrapped itself in the line. Good netting by the wife! Very full in colour. We tried to revive it but it wouldn't have made it.

That was my first brookie and we've since had many nice feeds from that same lake.

  • Nice fish! Like the brookie I caught a couple yrs ago in NWO in a stocked lake. 22-7/8" long x 13-1/2" girth. Didn't have a scale on hand. Caught near the surface on 2# line w/ jig and minnow. Fought for what I thought was 40 min but later judging by the time we'd checked and the time to sundown it was probably only 20 minutes.

Still, it pulled us around the lake in our canoe for some time and by the time I landed it (with the wife netting and bringin it in) it was too beat up to release.

  • nice fish did u keep it

  • What lures/bait did you use

  • Well I think you aren't a good fisher. You let it suffer. Why didn't you kill it after capturing it?! The poor fish suffers without water.

  • That's a 3 lbs trout, iv caught 5 lbs trout that are alot bigger then that, nice dandie tho, iam also in north ont, good place for nice specs

  • i love your videos!!!!

  • do you ever use spinners

  • Ok guys .... keep in mind, these brookies are stocked every year by the government ... with the intention that people catch them and keep them for supper. The fees we pay for our fishing licences go into programs like this, to pay to have these lakes stocked, to produce nice trout for supper.

  • why are you letting him suffocate? your a meathead if your going to keep fish, use proper ethics

  • Man, that is one nice brookie. We fish em in the Adirondacks in upstate NY. Come by our channel to see some of our adk brookies. None quite as big as that one, although someday I'll get lucky and get a big catch on film like that.

  • @ormyte: I think it doesn't really matter how you handle the fish if he's going to end up on the stove anyway. He said he was keeping him to eat not throw back. So I really don't see what the problem is with handling it when you're going to put a knife to him and take out his insides lol.

  • what was the lenght on him and last year i got what i thoght at frist to be a big rinbow trun out to be a 21 1/2 male brook i was frinkin when i pulled him out of the water

  • hey man nice size fish brother where abouts u get that

  • A few tips man,

1.That net is harmful to such gentle fish like the brook trout. Get a rubber netted net instead.

    2. Don't handle the fish so uncarefully and roughly. Dropping or squeezing the fish can result in major internal or external injury.

3.Go to Nipigon or lake superior near river mouths to catch big trout nick named "coasters"

4.That is about a 4.5-5 pound fish MAX

  • try 3 lbs

  • not a 6lb fish... get a different net and grab a flyrod... "thats a 6lb trout" ur a dumb shit.. 6lb!! ahahahah uve never seen a 6lb trout

  • head to james bay /hudson run offs man. i took a vacay there and the one in this vid was the regular ones. i got a 9 and two 8lbs. unreal epxerience

    nice fish btw

  • lol i def like catching trout on a fly rod over a spinning, that fish was really green when he got to the boat

  • try a softer net with better handling for these delicate guys. and so i can go catch him too :D

  • kool vid

  • no it looks about 5

i caught a 3.9 lb last week and that one looks a little bigger

  • Comment removed

  • joel lets go to the half an hour one next time... just make sure your battery is charged! i really wanna catch one one day... lol

  • 4lb max!

  • Little cleos work aswell as doo-jiggers and daredevils, as well as a double spinner with about 4 to 8 inches of line behing with a small sharp hook with a chunk of worm

  • ok that's a nice fish and all but it's no 5 or 6 pounds it's 3 and a half or 4 but either way it's a nice fish

  • i love seein big brookies, read your messages i am interested lol

  • That was a BEAUTIFUL BROOKIE!!

  • Beautie trout though great job witht he landing, and it is way easier to land a fish w. an net.

  • not even 5 maybe 3 probably pushing 3 in a half ,did u weigh it? And yes it was a stalked fish u could easeally tell by the bland colours and no spots or purple sides. So yeah be more accurate.

  • yeah im from newfoundland, and brook trout and atlantic salmon are mostly what i catch... but wow that brookie is huge

  • i got a 25lb brown last year it was great cant find that anymore

  • Very nice brook trout. Annd for all you idiots, there is nothing wrong with keeping a few brookies, especialy if it swallowed the hook. trout are one of the best tasting fish around

  • Nice brook trout, and I'm from Nz so i don't know about Brook trout not spawning but if that tout swallowed a jig head it's chances of surviving more than a couple of days were minimal

  • Not even close bud! Try about a 3 lb fish.

  • you SUCK it is going to die if you keep it out to long.

  • This brook trout is dull in colour because it was stocked ... in a lake where the brook trout never reproduce. They are put in this lake to be eaten. They are abundant because people are scarce. If they are not eaten, they die of old age. I don't see a problem keeping these fish for supper. Better than fish farms. What do you think?

  • Im going fishing for rainbow, brown, and brook trout next week what do you thing i should use.plz answer

  • If i were you id use a dare devil wth a worm or a littel cleo brass and maron colur or a mepps littel wolf

  • nice fish no matter how much he weighs, as far as what to fish with, pheobes, worms with bear paws or lake clear wablers, Castmasters, and silver spoons, minnows are always a sure bet with most fish as well.

  • @CaptJoel dont kid yourself they will reproduce if males are also present in the lake...i know many places you get a big one or nothing that arn't stocked...clean clear water gives you those nice silvery fish and its the male that gets colured up not the females like this fish is...watch my trout video to see fish with the same"lack of colour" look ..in clean clear water trout wont begin to change colour till august anyway and the female never gets the orange belly..male trout have a kype

  • @CaptJoel Agreed. Eat them, there are limits for a reason.

  • when they are not bright colors they are female, not going to die retard, u suck at fishing learn how to set the hook

  • @mikeanddanshow56 you are the retarded one for calling somone out and being wrong yourself.. i caught several brooke trout today and some were females that were EXTREMELY Bright in color. i caught about 5 brooke trout 3 or 4 rainbows and 1 steelhead..

  • ur an idiot when the fish arent colorful they are females they are not going to die and ur a jerk for keeping that fish, you suck at life and dont know how to fish.

  • 5 pounds my ass.

  • How big do you think it is. I'm pretty sure thats 5 pounds

  • It's like 18 inches, I'd give it 3 pounds. Did you get any length and girth measurements?

  • @albertaoutdoors definately not 6 lbs. .

  • Nice fish big guy, the modesty is great too.

  • Awesome.

  • I have to know where this is
