  • I probably would've used "Graceland" for Memphis.

  • He looks strange when he isnt wearing a dress.

  • no buzzer so it should count:

  • Depends on the ruling. If she was to say it before the buzzer...then she won it. If it went by the clock..no.

  • You're right because the clock said 00 and Farr gave the clue then.

  • I don't think hse should have won. The sixty seconds was up. The buzzer being late is a separate issue.

  • They did play the wrong win cue.

  • is it just me or did they play the wrong win cue music?

  • I think it' would have been funny if Bert had milkmed it only too say "you'll find out tomorrow what the result is"

  • When she said "Memphis", it took a full second to go to P. So when it hit double-zero, then they had to give it to her, imo.

  • It did hit double zeros but no buzzer or sound til way afterwards. They were right to give it to her!

  • I agree. Buzzer was late. She won.

  • They never used the Claxon on Super Password, except in RARE circumstances. I think the regular buzzer messed up, so they used the Claxon in it's place. It went off WAAAY after the clock hit 00. NBC foul up = contestant winning. In reality though, she was late, the clock hit 00 a full two seconds before she answered.

  • If it's one second after the buzzer hits zero, she definitely got it.

  • She started the word "pastry" right before the buzzer, which was a full second late. They had to give it to her.

  • wait a minute, there a website on this video. this show was in the 80s, could this game show been repeated and aired during 2007 or 2008?

  • oh she got it before the buzzer. it was clearly on the double zero but she got it before the buzzer which was late

  • OK so going by what Bert said the rule must be that the contestant has until a second after 00 to finish--which would always be the case if they used a clock with tenths of a second on it. Normally, though, time expires when the clock HITS 00, not a second after. I LOVE this show--it is my favorite by a mile--but one has to admit, they made up the rules on the close calls as they went along. Way to stay out of court, NBC!

  • She got an extra second! She definitely said it before the buzzer, but the buzzer didn't go off until a second after the 60 seconds expired.

  • She said it before the dreaded and infamous NBC Claxon blared.

  • no no no no no look at it again

    yep its on zero

  • I would say YES. No buzzer sounded when it hit 00 and the buzzer clearly sounded after she said pastry.

  • we going the check the tape. and see if she said the word before it hit 00

    it hit zero

  • That Shanda contestant---didn't she also participate on Body Language with Tom Kennedy?

  • Right after she says "Pastry," you can faintly hear the NBC Claxon. I say she got it.

  • Lol. am i the only 1 who thought that bert was gonna say that she didn't get it?

  • Love that '80s hair.

  • I heard her say it at the buzzer...thus it should count.

  • The music you hear at 1:43 is not the Bonus Round win cue, but the maingame win cue.
