@LTDv50 im not so bad anymore. ive made a lot of progress over the past two years. i just havent done any videos though. you are right though. i did play pretty average. i was nervous. i usually ok with crowds, but when its a solo and all eyes are on me. it's totally different. plus i was limited to what i could play because my hi hat closed on me and i couldnt fix it while playing. it sucked... anyways, what kinda kits you use? how's your setup looking?
@McBrainJ well dude i appreciate the response and sorry for being so blunt and brutal with my judgment, i currently have a run off drumset from a brand known as "de rosa" basically a spanish drum set, i never really had the money to get my hands on a good set which sucks but for the most part i switched all the heads on it so its sounding good.. check out my videos they're not too bad. lemme know what you think 8)
This is not in the 'kick-ass' category of drumming. In fact if the 'kick-ass' category of drumming was, for argument's sake, a substantial pile of something unutterably smelly, and this was downwind of it, it would still be so far off it that it wouldn't even be able to SMELL the 'kick-ass' category. It is, however, very much in the' tacky TV show' category where people who don't know jack about drumming can cheer loudly at a good-looking kid with a big set of drums and a rock-star dad.

I like to play my home made kit......I used different sized coffee cans, some plastic and some metal.....that way I can play funk and heavy metal on the same kit.....man, when you mic them up, they sound AWESOME......my cymbals are large soup can lids....man they sizzle..................think I'm going to go rock out now.................my kit is the best

I've played everything from the old Ludwig's with the singles piece lugs, a Ludwig kit from the 70's, a huge Yamaha Tour Custom, a smaller 5 piece Yamaha Recording Custom, a huge Premier "Projector" kit and a set of DW "Collecter" Series and the DW's SMOKE those other kits and every engineer is amazed when they hear them! Of course.....you have to know how to play first before you'd be able to appreciate a quality instrument. Not to knock your fine set of Pearl "Exports".
@justentime77 no dummy pearl are nauseatingly pukable. yamaha should stick to building dirt bikes (only) premier and tama are tolerable. only drums i think are worth playing are ludwig vista lites, sonor (almost any kit will do) and singerlands ive got a set of each and i play the luds and sonors weekly but the singerland set is under construction. so i KNOW drums and DW makes ok hardware and thats ALL ill give you on that i tell ya what................
Unless your Slingerlands are from the early eighties or older they're basically pieces of shit and Sonor makes several entry level kit's that are also complete garbage ( like your's). We all love Bonzo, but Vista Lites were THE most out of round/warped plastic sounding piles of shit ever to have heads put on em' and that's why nobody else played em'. DW Collector Series are made of Rock Maple, Laquer Finished, Timbre Matched with unparalleled hardware. Sorry dude, but you don't know shite......
@justentime77 alright enoughs,enough junior. im gettin real bored here. so, my sonors are vsds db early 90s(they got that mid 80s nicko sound) i love them dearly. my slingerlands are late 70s powerplays db sharp as fuck (if you know what cutaways are) and my amber vistas (john henry bonham thank you scary much) were bought in 79(the year i started playing) which probaly means ive been playing longer than youve been alive.
@restlessbreed10 i can accept that you dont like DW, but they arent junk. Otherwise my dad wouldnt have invested in getting that drumset for me. I think premier is going down though, im a bit bummed. What kind of kits do you like yo?

I like to play my home made kit......I used different sized coffee cans, some plastic and some metal.....that way I can play funk and heavy metal on the same kit.....man, when you mic them up, they sound AWESOME......my cymbals are large soup can lids....man they sizzle..................think I'm going to go rock out now.................my kit is the best

HA! I've played everything from the old Ludwig's with the singles piece lugs, a Ludwig kit from the 70's, a huge Yamaha Tour Custom, a smaller 5 piece Yamaha Recording Custom, a huge Premier "Projector" kit and a set of DW "Collecter" Series and the DW's SMOKE those other kits and every engineer is amazed when they hear them! Of course.....you have to know how to play first before you'd be able to appreciate a quality instrument. Not to knock your fine set of Pearl "Exports".

@justentime77 no dummy pearl are nauseatingly pukable. yamaha should stick to building dirt bikes (only) premier and tama are tolerable. only drums i think are worth playing are ludwig vista lites, sonor (almost any kit will do) and singerlands ive got a set of each and i play the luds and sonors weekly but the singerland set is under construction. so i KNOW drums and DW makes ok hardware and thats ALL ill give you on that i tell ya what................

Unless your Slingerlands are from the early eighties or older they're basically pieces of shit and Sonor makes several entry level kit's that are also complete garbage ( like your's). We all love Bonzo, but Vista Lites were THE most out of round/warped plastic sounding piles of shit ever to have heads put on em' and that's why nobody else played em'. DW Collector Series are made of Rock Maple, Laquer Finished, Timbre Matched with unparalleled hardware. Sorry dude, but you don't know shite......

@justentime77 alright enoughs,enough junior. im gettin real bored here. so, my sonors are vsds db early 90s(they got that mid 80s nicko sound) i love them dearly. my slingerlands are late 70s powerplays db sharp as fuck (if you know what cutaways are) and my amber vistas (john henry bonham thank you scary much) were bought in 79(the year i started playing) which probaly means ive been playing longer than youve been alive.
