I would have hated to have had to judge this year's competition because listening to some of the other singers-Syesha for example, WOW, they were SO good. I love Archie, but have to admit David "the word nerd" Cook captured my heart because of how he carried himself through SO MUCH personal tragedy. I couldn't be happier for him. He and Susan Boyle(Britain) are 2 "ordinary people" who I am so very glad are doing so well with their music. Susan may not have won, but she, like DC has done SO well.
Both Cook and Archuleta were awesome that year, there was no way I was going to vote with those two being in the finale together. The only thing is I think it should have been Michael John's to make the top 3 with them instead of Syesha.

i am a huge archuleta freak hands down, but david cook was last year's adam lambert, taking songs we knew well and changing them. i am a teenage girl when it comes to archie and i adore him, but i respect cook so much more as an artist. his music is really relatable to me.

Why is everyone still posting I wish DA would have won, or should have won, he did win, maybe not the AI title, but he has a successful album, what more could anyone want for him. A title is just that, a title, what you do after the fact is the most important. He is doing that now, great CD, single, etc. Be happy for him.

They both are talented. But they don't want Archuleta's finale videos showing next to Cook's. Also only put tour videos of others next to Cook's weekly performance. Tour videos have fewer viewer counts and Cook will look like he out distanced them. It's called slanting. Actually both singers won. Archuleta with his finale performance and Cook with collective arrangements of song throughout the AI season. Congratulation to both.
