  • Great commercial, but service sucks. I just stick with Liberty Mutual because it's cheap.

  • interesting videos. thanks for sharing information

  • This commercial + the J & J Nursing ad with the little girl + the "Pass It On" commercial with the beauty pageant or the lady visiting her father in the hospital =

    Instant tearjerker, every time.

  • I get a little choked up every time I see this commercial.

  • A great ad with a beautiful soundtrack!

  • Deposition 1: Executive Order 8802: $10,000 reward for the capture of the 17 people who disliked this video

  • Aside from the fact that it is for an insurance company, this is probably my favorite commercial ever. It gives me chills every time I watch it. What is especially cool is the fact that in nearly all of the "paying it forward" situations the person paying it forward was a bystander and not the recipient of the kind gesture. The ad may have run to sell more insurance policies, but it definitely promotes something that society could use more of. Kudos to the people who created it.

  • its ok I did and still do cry when I see this :)

  • I cried too

  • @marzi444 hahaha me too...for some reason i think this commercial is high

  • Doesn't Liberty Mutual have 81 complaints on RipoffReport's website? Just sayin'...

  • @dukenthaylor

We have Liberty Mutual for four of our policies and have had nothing but great service.

    Just sayin'...

  • @superscrounger Hey! Tell it to RipoffReport, will ya'? I'm sure they could use some good news for a change. I'll look for YOUR testimonial there.

    .

    Just sayin'...

  • Good job! Hope you enjoy our new insurance commercial! Thanks!

  • why can't everyone be like this?

  • I like it...

hey, haters end up getting their their own back.

  • SICKEST PLOT TWIST EVER.

  • gay

  • Wow, crazy clip! Saw many more of them over at - Youtube Banned Videos Dot com

  • aw i like this commercial i believe thats true that if someone sees you do somethin nice they most likely will too :)

  • please visit boycottlibertymutual and find how liberty mutual insurance should be charged with child abuse/ neglect/ and murder....what they've hide from the world since 1995

  • @boycottlibertymutual

    get a life.

  • I think it would be funny if they did a Mad Tv episode of this. don't get me wrong I think the commercial is very nice, but it would be funny too see that the people who are helping each other are stuck in a time continuum having to always help the same person out, just like how the first person helps out in the beginning and last one of the commercial, but he starts to get tired of it the second and tired time, yet he still helps out

  • Regardless of how anyone feels about the company advertised in this commercial, this amazing song (Half Acre by Hem) remains one of the most beautiful written in the last 50 years of popular music. Right there for emotional impact as In My Life, by The Beatles.

  • I love this commercial & the song. I am writing a blog about karma and how helping people mysteriously turns around to help you in unexpected ways. My blog is Scattered Thoughts of a Busy Mama on Blog Spot

If you get a chance to read it please comment :)

By the way, this song is called "Half-Acre" by the band Hem & it is on their 2002 album Rabbit Song & it's available at Amazon.

  • shake a child for 5-6 hours, think you wont get into trouble? child abusers liberty mutual is they left a child age 16 involved in a chemical burn inhalation, who suffered seizures for 5-6 hours and left him to the "mental health", when they found thru mothers insurance, of findings, "internal organ damage", yet social security picks up the tab, and actualy the person paid into...libery uses the statue of liberty, and preys on the youth, world you should know, civil right in motion!

  • Even download-able..... Nice!

  • I wish the insurance companies would live up to this standard. I think most people who have commented here already help their fellow man, but big corporations consider us to be just a number, statistic, or liability.

  • What is the name of this song in the commercial ?

  • Half Acre is the song. enjoy

  • Do we really have 13 people who dislike the theme of this commercial. I mean really helping your fellow man when needed, gets a dislike. Maybe as a race we really are doomed. I see my self in that video. When everybody does a little we all do a lot.

  • Not only do I admire the concept of this commercial, but I love the music. It's almost a public service announcement. I'd still consider all my options before using Liberty Mutual, but I do have more respect for a company that advertises responsibly. Oh, and I love how these commercials loop.

  • This commercial makes me happy from all the good un-necessary things people do to help there neighbors :) one little thing you do can make a person smile a whole day!

  • This commercial stinks. People are supposed to be kind and civil to each other, it's nothing special. If you want an insurance company that aspires to be mediocre, Liberty Mutual is for you.

  • @chrismnj Your such a horrible person. We all know that we should be kind to each other, and this commercial reminds us of that. You have no right at all to call Liberty Mutual a mediocre company, because they are more then that, its amazing how sick you are.

  • My mom once paid for the car behind her at a national park, and we hope that they did something like that for an other person... it's such a sweet commercial!!!

  • the only thing I don't like about this commercial is that those boxes were NOT going to fall on that guy.

  • If only people learned a lesson from this commercial. So often we get wrapped up in our own world and think that other people will do the right thing even if we don't.

  • when it's an insurance company,

Liberty Mutual. Just try and get a claim out of us!

    Doing the Responcable thing

  • i love this commercial we saw it in school a couple months ago but it still makes me smile and i love the message it sends

  • The best commercial. It makes me smile as well. It makes you want to switch insurance companies or at least consider it.

  • We have Liberty Mutual ... had them for 10+ years without a claim. Last year we had a water loss claim to our home. I have never been treated so poorly by an insurance company in my life ... The kicker was when they told me sagging sheetrock becomes stronger AFTER it has been wet. We had to hire a public adjuster to adjust the claim. Liberty Mutual wanted to give us $6,000 to repair $20,000 in damage.

  • @dennisatkinson So, did they pay up or were they irresponsible?

    Dennis?

  • @dennisatkinson So, did they pay up or were they irresponsible?

    Dennis?

  • @DIVISIONINCISION We had to hire a public adjuster at 15% of the claim value just to get Liberty Mutual Insurance to negotiate. In the end, it cost us about $4,000 out of our own pocket to get all the repairs fixed.

  • @dennisatkinson That sounds irresponsible. Who is your new insurance company?

  • Along with "In My Life" by The Beatles, the most beautiful song composed and performed in the last 50 years.

  • I have liberty Mutual Insurance and a wicked storm on March 13th hit NJ. Liberty Mutual HAs done EVERYTHING to escape paying one dime for the damage to my home. They are not ineterested in RESPONSIBILITY -- they try and skim and save as much as possible for their share holders and THEY SCREW the HARD WORKING BILL PAYING CUSTOMERS. LIBERTY MUTUAL SUCKS. THEy have not made good on my claim yet, here we are almost MAY and my home still has a tarp over it from hurricane damage.

  • @rajimaji So, basically, Liberty Mutual hasn't been responsible?

    Speak, Raji!

  • gives me the goosebumps no lie, makes me want to be superman!

  • great commercial... make you feel warm and fuzzy... I experinced this type of random act of kindness today at a local grocery store. I was so proud to be there to see this first hand... I wish it would be contagious like the tv commercial. ^_^

  • @Kin6X I did notice that...

  • Let me just add though, did anyone notice that the guy that the woman saved from the boxes was never really in the line of fire for those boxes? I mean, still a great commercial but i just noticed that.

  • I am holding half an acre...

  • My responsibility is to the world

    And to all of you

  • I like this commercial. Why can't everyone just do the right thing, even when no one is watching? But then again, you never really know who is watching, do we? Spread the love.

  • I have never watched a commercial so many times... it makes me smile.

  • @AkaiAkegata i know exactly how you feel. Never has a commercial touched me like this

  • What's the song playing in that commercial?

  • @wiled5 "Half Acre" by Hem

  • everyone.. im talking to you. Always do the right thing for your fellow man. You will feel great about yourself and it will make are world a better place. We have to watchout for each other. we are all in this together. Stand up for humanity.

  • This commercial has a major time flaw, if all those actions were caused by the guy picking up the doll at the beginning, he couldnt have done the exact same thing at the end unless he had a time machine.

  • @ladygagaspenis part of the point is that it has a wonky timeline. This is not a 'mistake'! It's meant to show more literally that what goes around comes around.

  • Great commercial makes me smile. Then its gone when I see "Liberty Mutual" haha

  • is this song like...limewirified?

  • How is the commercial almost 4 years old?

  • a very cool commerical...makes you smile.

  • this makes me super-happy. I almost cried at a freaking insurance commercial. I'm such a dork.........

  • @pixiebells

dont feel bad.... i almost did too

    lol

  • @pixiebells I did cry... but it was that time....

  • @pixiebells u say that cuz u think being a dork will make u cool and funny. its confusing but true

  • @pixiebells sadly, they fail to help u...

  • @Nightweaverr .Not everyone fails. Just a few weeks ago someones trash can had fallen down this hill.I was walking by & decided to roll it back up the bill. I picked up all the trash & glass on the street.

Another time some older lady was having trouble lifting something in the front of her yard.I stopped and asked if she wanted help. She did so I lifted the item for her.

  • @pixiebells good.. I just almost did too! lol. Oh man.

  • @pixiebells ...I had the same reaction...no you are not a dork; you are a human being who still harbors good feelings for mankind when they do the RIGHT THING! Everytime I see one of Liberty Mutual commercials, I cry... because it makes me wonder why ALL PEOPLE AREN'T LIKE THOSE PEOPLE SHOWN IN THOSE COMMERCIALS?! The world would be a much better place of they were...

  • This commercial is stupid as shit. These same people "helping" others are the same ones who are opposed to poor people getting health care.

  • i love this commercial we watched it in school cause its random acts of kindness week (well it was last week) and its my favorite ad. i've ever seen. i would've liked it more if there wasnt the liberty mutual but igs all commercials advertise something.. so good job for liberty mutual for the first GOOD commercial i've ever seen :]

  • Love this commercial. The song is beautiful. Probably one of the greatest pairing of song and story ever. It's on tv as I speak.

  • Love this ad. Regardless of who made it, it's true that we're influenced by what we SEE more than when we're just told to do something. I'm appalled on a daily basis at the total lack of awareness of most people of their surroundings. If this makes a few people more aware, then bravo.

  • saw this while running at the gym. Couldn't help but smile; such a wonderful commercial.

  • Love this ad, it's got movie production values. Insurance companies are competing hard with some good ads these days.

  • who sings this song?

  • it's called half acre by Hem. They're I believe a brooklyn based band

  • Hem

  • Evil commercial is deceptive and evil. Also it makes me tear up.

  • Sigh...I love this commercial. If only more people were really like this...there are very few. Hopefully those few at least somewhat influence others like in the commercial.

  • great and warm and fuzzy commercial...lol...then you see "Liberty Mutual" lol

  • Interesting, the story seems to be a paradox, but is not. At minute .22 the chain goes back to the beginning of the events. because the characters change completely.

  • Say what you like about insurance companies, but musically this is as classically perfect as is In My Life, by The Beatles. A stunning piece of music, and one of the most haunting and beautiful songs every written and performed.

  • I don't understand why everyone is having such a hard time with the concept. They guy at the begginning of the commercial states that the chain has started. Now, towards the end of the commericial, when he was pushing the stroller and the jogger picked up the toy, and then they go back to the same clip of HIM picking up the toy for the women and her child, it states that it was really a never ending chain. There's no start or finish. But everyone may seem it in a different light.

  • No one acts in this matter anymore, and it's really harsh. I always try to help people, not because it gives off a good impression, but because afterwards, there is never any regreat. If anything, I think to myself, "This is a really good feeling. Like I just set my day at a good leval." But terribly, people aren't like this anymore. I like the song.

  • @WRITEfluidity , Wise man said, "Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with GOOD." (Romans 12:21)

  • When it's people do the right thing the call it being responsable. When insurance companies do it it's called a TV commercial. (or a pipe dream)

  • Thats a good one buddy. Very true

  • Its just make believe.I came to america into New York December 1994,and I have been here ever since.Gave old people, pregnant women and disabled people seats on public transportation every day during my stay. What I like to do before I offer my assistance,is wait a minute to see if anybody will help........no one does

  • @WingManPilot , Dont wait for people to change, be the change the world needs man! Great job on being courteous towards others! Dont give up. Wise man said, "Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with GOOD." (Romans 12:21)

  • I love this commercial, but what's up with the guy checking out the lady in the elevator at 0:21? Also, those boxes weren't even going to hit the dude on the phone at 0:33. Nice uplifting song.

  • I love this commercial, the goodness of mankind showcased

brings hope to us who sit and watch the everyday reality beat down we get everyday. It makes your heart smile.

  • Yes, it is a warm fuzzy from a heartless corporation. Don't give Liberty Mutual to much credit.

  • That Star Theater (0:40) was a adult movie theater. It used to be as busy as it looks on this picture. It's in La Puente, California.

  • Don't get the connection to a mega insurance company, but I love this commercial. Song, message, whole thing. Great job LIberty Mutual.

  • @ddddddd543 HAHAHAH shes totally saying that

  • really, seriously, STFU

  • really, most touching act of kindness was man helping up the man who fell, even if he didn't want help. Responsibilty would be paying your insurance bill, acts of kindness go beyond that....

  • Who is the actress in the beginning with the stroller?

  • :'( Ónë Gúd déed shál ynspirë Gúd déeds.

  • Just saw this commercial..WOW catchy song..I LIKE!!!!

  • in this chain of events which good deed comes first?? where does the chain start?? i get so confused every time i watch this...

  • fuck these people they got me fired FUCKING DOUCHEBAGS

  • the BEST commercials use very words words - and as in life We Should ALL Pay if Forward.

  • chill song

  • It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another....that's what Carl Sagan said.....

  • That story is impossible!!

You can see that the chain of events were started by the lady in the beginning, but at the end of the clip it, shows that the guy who was at the end of the chain, was the one that started it. They added a whole other time frame making seem like the guy at the end was a fucking time traveler.

  • @conrifor ...regardless the music and the storyline idea is genius!

Was the song just made for the short commercial or is there a full version we can hear?

  • The song is Half Acre by Hem. Not sure where you can download it though.

  • The song is available on iTunes and on YouTube. :]

  • @conrifor

So, I'm guessing the guy who you think was at the end was at the beginning. The chain begins when the guy in the purple shirt is helped by the other guy, who in turn helps the lady, who helps the coffee guy, etc...

  • a simply fantastic commercial...

  • How could I not go with liberty mutual now

  • I think it's what we can take from this that is important, not where it came from.

The song is beautiful. And maybe it changes some lives today.

  • Anyone know who the actor who lets the other car pull out in front of him is? I could swear I've seen him on an episode of something.

  • @Tabbyclaw he had a small part in a movie called the perfect holiday.

  • i love this commerical.

i want to do a film with the same conspect

    for my schhol's film festable((:

  • 255,000 views for an insurance company ad on U tube..... thats interesting

  • I'ts not because of the "AD", its because of what the Ad stands for.

  • OK,..yes it has a somewhat appealing emotional message. But remember that it is an advertisement. It's aim is to make you believe that if you don't have Liberty Mutual, then you are not "responsible."

  • And you know what It's a damn good advertisement.

Now, the question is, why should I get Liberty Mutual instead of something else? 8 )

  • this is beautiful music, does anyone know what song this is?

  • @awsomemovies10 The song is called "Half Acre" by an artist called Hem.

  • Great commercial!! They brought these back and started playing again during the Olympics. Pay It Forward.

  • This commercial is beautiful. And it's so true. 1 act of kindness goes such a long way.

  • see the Star theatre.. 0:37

It was a beautiful theatre in La Puente, California, I believe it is still there but, for many years the owner who bought it showed pornographic movies.. and all male one's too.. =o/

Can't believe it is in a commercial!..

  • love these commericals.

  • great

  • One love.

  • Yeah some lady save a guys life, how does they other guy pay it forward . letting someone pull in front of him.

  • Hell yeah. Those crates of vegetables in cardboard boxes that weren't even gonna hit him could've really killed him.

  • wat is this song ????

  • Half Acre - By Hem

  • why did that lady push that guy away from the falling crates? they weren't even going to hit him. look at 0:34

  • Hey its the idea that counts

  • lolll

  • A lot say this company is bad ha ha but the commercial to me is a good message either way and the song works with it. Just take the ending logo part out where she says "Liberty Mutual" and there ya go a brilliant inspiring video.

  • My school made a commercial like this for a project. It was fun and really nice to make. The messages my, and these, commercials give are wonderful.

  • The still refuse to repair my claim damage to code! Where is the responsibility Liberty Mutual claims to have...

It's costing more for the 3 adjusters to come to the property then it would to fix the damage and act responsible...

Ask Liberty Mutual how they feel about "global warming"

    Robert Deming

  • Try not to even think of the ad.....just think of the song and the message....it's beautiful ....truely

  • Good point because when people do the right thing it makes the world a better place and I think that we shouldn't need to be told that by an insurance company, we should just know that for the sake of helping others

  • OmG, thank-you soo much for that! (no offense towards L.M. but they are just a profit-seeking business) You make a great point, and with a wonderful song like this, altruistic benevolence IS a necessity EVERYONE! ^^

  • We are talking about the music...not the company. And this song is as close to perfect as any. Next to "In My Life" by Lennon-McCartney, this is possibly the most beautiful melody in the last 30 years.

  • sociologists call this generalized exchange, psych and evo biologists call it indirect reciprocity

  • I KNEW there must be some academic labels for the dynamic this commercial series depicts. do you have any additional information about this? I'd love to know more if you do!

  • This ad makes me cry, especially when the lady pushes the guy to safety.

  • Brett Rickaby is the actor in this commercial who puts the bear back in the baby stroller near the end. Look him up.

  • such a shame that the best way for a great band like hem to make a real dollar comes from helping big companies lie to people. of course to be fair i don't really know liberty mutual so maybe they're ok, but the bottom line is always the bottom line with these kinds of companies.

  • the vidio dont't respond at all

  • ...the commercial was touching and the jingle was heartwarming. i almost cried...but yeah fuck libery mutual.

  • liberty mutual feeds off the lost hopes and dreams of innocent people. the type of company hitler would condone.

  • Responsibility? I don't thinks so. My dad has a law suit against Liberty Mutual and my dad got an inguinal hernia and Liberty Mutual won't accept the surgery which means they could care less if my dad dies of the pain.

  • Terrific ad.

    Terrible company.

  • ROFL
