  • I think you have that album "Yellowman vs. Purpleman" Thats where I got di fathead/Yellowman chune from Is dat di only album Purpleman has? please hit me up on it selectah

  • ummmmmm, like it!!

  • The Cutty Ranks adn the General Levy track sounds like the Bobby Babylon riddim but I think because it plays the distinct piano riff (particulary in General Levy's track) it might mistaken as the my converastion riddim.

  • Correct! My ears got stuck listening to the piano, simple as that, hehe.

  • MR> PUSH IT GOOD!!!

  • this has been one of my favorite riddims since i discovered dancehall, and i never knew what it was called until now. something about the lilting piano melody accent always makes me feel at peace. big up selecta yu fi mehk a dance gwaan!

  • Greetingz thankz for dis great mix. A few yearz ago i heard dis riddim but it only had a girl singing in the background. She wasnt actually singing any words jus going "oooooh yeah" throughtout the song but her beautiful voice accented the song good. It used the same conversation riddim as Lone ranger-barnabas collins so im guessing it was old some kinda dub or version. If anyone can help me out with the name of the song n artist be much appreciated. Much Love

  • actually come to think of it not so much the general levy tune cos i hear the little key boards in the backround the bass lines are kinda the same...

  • hmmm for some reason the cutty ranks and general levy chunes sound like the high fashion/one step beyond riddim nonethenless another awesome mix!!!!

  • Anyone have a copy of the tippa Irie chune - good to have the feeling you're the best???

    Wanty wanty, ...

  • Did you know that SKY HIGH productions also made a cut of this riddim too?

  • Hmm, I believe so. Hopeton James right? If that's the case, I've got the album somewhere around here.

  • Well actually it's Mau Mau"featuring"Ansel.

  • From Hopeton James' Send Love album?

  • what a sweet piece of mix

    run it again

  • I'd only heard the barrington cut and cornell campbell's version of my conversation... the rest of these are new to me

    bless up as always runitselectah

  • Once again runitselectah you have brought to us a wicked mix of a vintage riddim from way back when....Wicked shot....I love the vibes!!!!

    Give Thanks!

    Guidance Every Time!

  • The cutty ranks and general levy use the riddim called "Boops/54-46".

  • Search " Dream Warriors Ludi" and check a Toronto hip hop band sampleing this riddim....Ah Wicked style!

  • Wicked style indeed! Reminds me of The Mystery Of Chessboxin' by Wu Tang Clan somehow. In other words, great!

  • There a couple of different basslines, The Cutty and Levy tunes use the 54-46 bassline with the conversation piano riff.

    Yes - I, the hairsplitter.

    Reggae nerds unite!!

    Love it everytime.

  • Hehe, that never struck me at all actually. My ears didn't catch anything but the piano from the riddim. Quite a mistake. Too bad I can't edit videos in Youtube, hehe.

Thanks a lot for bringing this to my attention! Once again, I have to de-wax these rusty ol' ears of mine.

  • love di riddim thanks selecta
