Once king of a certain genre of music in Carondale and elsewhere. Now nowhere to be found like many great bands from everywhere without friend who had a cell phone camera and/or a website. This band was the greatest to play my house party in 1998!
Blue Meanies have an exceptional horn section which rises them well above many similar bands, Kiss Your Ass Goodbye is a masterpiece of "third wave" ska music

does anyone know alot about these guys cuz i just bout a guitar that has a Blue meanie sticker on it .and it was used.and i think the guitarist may have used it. but im not sure
What was that punk rock/Bowling alley on north side of chitown? Fireside??? Saw them there and one of the toilets in the womens bathroom kinda worked. Nice that the whole crowd had to use it! Great show!
i love the beganing of this. and i like the fast part too, but i really wish theyd do more of that slow shit and calm down becuz when they arent banging on thier instruments they sound REALLY good.

Even as someone who hated ska and resented being brought to a Blue Meanies show in Normal in 1995, I had to acknowledge this song was pretty sweet.
