Just so you know, that box you are referring to is called a knox-box. It contains a key so when we (the fd) come, we don't have to break the door down, and instead can just use the key. Most all commercial buildings have em, and some residential homes do too.

@CoSirenCars It's the fire station's house call siren, not sure just what it's for but I think it's to call volunteers to the station. Not sure though. XD

Everytime I hear 7002ts, alarm in the beginning, as well as 7002s in youtube vids, it reminds me of living at Mall Towers, and all  the millions of false alarms.

Nice video why did the fire alarm go off? It's Interesting why the fire department didn't come first. Usually There is a pumper and a hook and later on fire alarm calls.

The Japanese/Chinese restaurant next door had something happen with their grills. It was a false alarm but something to do with the grills is what set it off.

it's made by Cooper Wheelock... well, it was. it was discontinued because of the sound. it's their old 7002T. i hear their newer AS/NS/MT in the background.

Oh and I meant to say too, it's been Ichiban for a couple years now. I don't remember exactly when Video Paradise went away. I've been working at Papa Gino's for 3 and a half years, and it was during that time that they switched businesses.

This is a grossly understaffed combination department, which I am a career member of. The only 4 firefighters on duty in town that night were tied up at a medical emergency. Unfortunately due to staffing, if yours is the second call at the same time, you are going to have to wait for service. Its not how we like it, but its doing the best with what we have.

that sorta sounds like a wheelock 7002t, by the way,the reason the siren went off is because hopkinton has a VOLUNTEER fire department and so the alarm alerts local businessman to respond to the firehall in their personal vehicles

no Hopkinton and Ashland both have combination departments. Career and Call no volunteers.

Both departments still do it as an old tradition when off duty members are recalled.

if it was a true structure fire, they would have had a much faster response. They know well before they got there it was nothing.
