@phillyfan1214 Nop, that looks like a Squier Deluxe Hot Rails. It has Duncan Designed Hot Rails. Awesome axe and it is damn cheap. That's the beauty of the high-end Squiers, they're great guitars with great quality and they're cheap (other example of a great high-end Squier are the Classic Vibe)
@Guitarplayer1469 What's the point of your comment? I saw you leaving a similar comment on another video. He has played with Walter Trout, isn't that enough of an evidence for his skill? How can you think this was fake..?
Only bad squires at all are the bullet and affinity. Check their other models out, I used to think squier sucked but after playing a classic vibe, my entire outlook on squier changed
Amazing talent. How you get your fingers to move soooo fast is beyond me. You're a gifted bloke. Definitely the best guitarist on You Tube. Those who criticise your playing had better put their money where their mouths are or keep their comments to themselves. You rock!!!
seriously i really would like to know, is this an emg pre wired pick guard you have attached and if so, did you have any difficulties installing it in a squier?
thats an EMG kirk hammet pickguard you have installed in your squire correct? if so did you have any problems installing it? i know fenders have a different number of mounting holes. i have a decently made squire, but it really doesnt suit my skill level or the kind of music i prefer to play. would you recommend this pickguard? i was consedering the one with the 81 humb. in the bridge.
Squiers are built by machines in Japan. They are to Fender specs but supposedly "have no souls". Seems to me they are like dead-accurate Fenders and although they are not handbuilt, this one is a clear example of what to do right with them. many studio musicians and pros use them for tonal accuracy. A good setup can be just like an ESP. Plays like a 15,000 guitar.
Hey Sam, Went to the Experience Hendrix Show last night and saw Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Mato, Jonny Lang, Brad Whitford among others. It was a great show. The only thing that would have made it better is if you were there playing your version of Foxey Lady. You could have held your own easily among the group.
People arguing over GH vs. real guitar are fucking retarded. I'm quite confident that no one who plays guitar hero actually thinks they're doing anything on the level of a real instrument. I'm guessing the only reason any of you have to be threatened by it is that you all suck at your instrument.
One's a game, one's an instrument. Stop making it a competition for fucks sake.
Speed it up a little bit sounds like your at half speed besides that no issues (altough you would save yourself a lot of trouble if you used your thumb on that main riff)
@FeltDownHard Doesn't have to be written to be good man :) Some of the best solo's ever recorded were done on the spot, and it's often the first take... Even if there are mistakes, always go with the first take, coz there's more feel... Stuff like this is awesome, coz the intension is there, and the ideas just flow...
from sam himself:he not actually using an amp at all here. i am running into a boss 12track desk (where i recorded the backing track) and using the inbuilt effects and the straight out into my stereo *check the posts down*
Your timing, vibrato, fluidity are just jaw dropping... but above this, you've got an incredible feeling, it's no technique demonstration. You're an amazing musician, you really are.
wow! i have the same guitar same colour, only i swapped the necks round to a squier standard strat maple neck maple fingerboard and change the pickups to dimarzio HS3 in the bridge and 2 YJM's in the middle and neck and it sounds awesome!
dude trust me squier guitars are really great! that guitar has duncan designed rail pickups which are high output single coils. the body is made of BASSWOOD, which is a pretty good wood. check out squier guitars dude, also its better if you get a squier deluxe, but change the pickups. thats what i did with mine and now it sounds and stays in tune better than a Yngwie Malmsteen signature fender.

this improv is based around the minor pentatonic scale... which is the basis for most blues rock solos. it has many extensions and variations to apply, so individuality and creativity (plus lots of practice) give you your own sound and technique through it. very simple and fun scale to learn, but a challenge to master.
NylonCryptus 2 years ago
couldnt have put it better myself, thanks mate

@NylonCryptus Only a guitarist could give this answer. Any classic musician would laugh at you for calling it a challenge to master pentatonic scale.
