  • @mrlizard8 can you do the arpeggios at the end?

So far, you are the only one to get the right hand intervals at the end right. most people repeat the same chords. Good job man. Work on the left hand arpeggios, though...

  • ITS SO FUCKING PERFECT!

  • Great !

  • why can't anyone play the arpeggios at the end.....

  • It sounds so sad and its my all time favorite.

  • Yknow I was just thinking, how a lot of this music isnt really appreciated by the music community because it is on a video game soundtrack. This piece is really amazing, and I doubt the majority of musicians even know it.

  • I wonder whats for dinner?

  • Wind Waker will always be the best Zelda game. However, it's odd that the main element of the game is water yet there's not a water temple.

  • @iansgameroom

The tower of the gods or watever is kinda a water temple i guess.

  • @iansgameroom does it matter though? Water temples are always annoying :P

  • This was in Sonic right ?? =D

  • There's a timeline

  • lol.....why does this video look like it was taken at my highschool

  • Fucking amazing! teach us!!

  • this makes me think the coming game valley of flood that tells the distruction of hyrule

  • u changed the part at 2:04 but thats fine cause ive been trying to play it for months and its FREAKEN IMPOSSIBLE!!!! STILL EPIC AS HELL MAN THUMBS UP!

  • thank you! i've been looking for this song

  • @cngowens You're wrong, actually.

Only Eiji Aonuma, Miyamoto, and the director of the Skyward Sword know the timeline. It was confirmed in an interview.

  • @Lucasntaylor

No one knows the timeline, it was confirmed that the series was created without the intention of a timeline. And that al the games take place apparently in different dimensions, with different Links. Exceptions being Oot and Majora's Mask, and A link to the past and The Seven Stone Tablets

  • @Pikerchu13 There's a master timeline at nintendo HQ.

  • @lampo77

yes there is, but its only for wii :)

  • daphnes was only a spirit. he didn't really drown.

  • at this part in ww i was like shouting for link to grab daphnes's hand......but..he....couldn't reach it.......then daphnes.....drowned. thats a rly sad ending :( but, just maybe, daphnes may be re-born in the new zelda game for wii coming out in 2010 :) That would be great if they brought Daphnes back! Thumbs up if you think bringing back daphnes in the new zelda game in 2010 is a good idea, thumbs down if not!

  • Is there coming a new game to the wii in 1010??!??

  • No it cant because thats a whole differnt timeline... err I think :l

  • I'm trying to play this too :D But I suck at it. You're awesome :)

  • Awsome!!! Considering that you played by ear, you still did a very good job!!!

  • how are you mistery pianist?

  • boa i love your playing!! great!

  • wow, i cant believe that every one forgets that one note at the beginning.

  • Which note?

  • you are obviously a very good piano player. i couldn't play that.

however, if you want it to sound like Farwell Hyrule King, use sheet music! at least the sheet music will give every note (and the correct ones) from 1:30 you started to miss the odd note, get one or two wrong, and the timing was a bit off.

but as i said you are very good at the piano

  • King: Enough, Hyrule floods in the morning, I wonder what's for Dinner.

  • song rocks

  • wow very good i also play songs by ear

  • Marble sculptures crack and golden spires fall

precious paintings fade 'long with the royal family tree

the ivory keys cry out their final mournful call

    and immortal legends rust

    'neath the cruel salted sea

  • @Chefodeath I'm putting that as my Facebook status :D

  • Mah boi!

  • i liked it

this guy may b a bit sad

but i bet u coudn't do any better!

  • I do songs by ear too! Awesome!

  • there's a point to the recycling, silly. it ties all the games together, so they have an underlying theme... one can listen to the song without playing the game and think, "Hey, that's Zelda."

  • yeah haha like when you watch all that pireates of the caribbean movies, the song is always the same... its just the theme..

  • the middle sounds alot like dungeon/labyrinth what is it with them recycling songs

  • They use the melodies again because it adds nostaliga, and the dungeons that played this music were in hyrule, and this is a tribute to the king of hyrule, sooo....

  • Also...

The Zelda series epitomizes the primal battle between good and evil. The continuum of Life and Death.

This song, as well as the series... Are legendary.

  • @joshNgab and Aerineth

josh, aeri's explanation is stupid. really, the actual reason is because the composer of the songs is the same guy. koji kondo.

while dungeon/labrynth should be more sinister sounding, this one is more of a building up song.

also, the way this person chooses to play makes it sound a lot like dungeon in labrynth. it's his bass notes.

  • i know they are composed by the same guy but u would think he would try something new and also why are u replying to a 8 month old comment

  • No, the point is plot-related. He's juxtaposing the (old) Hyrule Castle theme with the dungeon theme as the King is comparing himself to Ganondrof.

  • Impressive!

  • Comment removed

  • You didn't get the bass part of the chorus right, but other than that it was great!

  • good work !!

But the part at 1:53 has got an interesting bass line in the original.

it`s hard to play but it sounds much better...

Im sure you can get it too^^

  • very good sir

  • hmm so sure u did it by ear... you see i have stumbled across a sheet music of this fantastic piece of music on the internet. It has the EXACT notes of this song that you have played. I payed a lot of attnetion to both the song you played and the sheet music I have. Either way ur really good ^^

  • Maybe he's just really damn good at playing by ear.

  • Yeah xD xÞ

  • can you please make a tutorial on this? thanx!! :)

  • why would you need a tutorial on this? This is like one of the easiest zelda songs.... though one of the most beautiful!

  • Eh, I feel like one of those in your face salesmen, but I've made a tutorial if you want to check it out (mind you, it's not the whole song, but it's still fairly decent.)

  • thanks i will check it out and no you're not rubbing it in myface! :)

  • This reminds me of the NES and SNES days.

This is one of there older songs just redone.

    Sounds beautiful.

  • This was one of the first songs I ever learned to play. I was able to figure out everything up to 1:07, which is exactly how u played it, but after that, I haven't figured it out. Very impressive learning the whole thing by ear!

  • oh wow to 1:07 its very easy!

  • you think i dont know that, artard?

  • Hey can you write up some Sheet Music for that?

  • I'm about learning this and i have sheet music for this. But in the last part the left hand becomes very hard. Can u tell me the left hand notes for the last part? (From 1:52)

    btw nice Emphasizing

  • That was a great job! THanks for showing!

  • Wow, you played that by ear? You've got some real talent there! I like what you did with the left hand from 1:52; more simple than the mad scale stuff and it still sounded awesome. Keep it up!

  • these songs just get me depressed :(

  • It is quite a sad song, but it's meant to be.

  • too bad... but good anyway!

  • very nice! I love it. this is my favorite song in the whole game :P

  • can you tell me where to get the music sheet?

  • it was done by ear.

  • 01:53 that part the left hand is not right,,,no offence,,,but its a nice song
