I love Neil. When I lived in Singapore he was very kind to me.
The most impressive thing about him is that even when he asked a question it seemed as though he were seeking to engage you rather than procure information, for he has the air of knowing it all without being the slight bit impressed with himself.
It is sweet that he is a father; he was always fatherly to me.
