idk if this will work for ps2 but it works for my xbox360, when your aLMOST AT THE TOP OF THE jump pull the left stick down then up really fast, right at the top, but not too late.

i think it has to do with the traction...pro makes the rear tire spin out when ur taking sharp turns and race makes it where u have like max traction. i dont think u can square up on a corner with race physics either...idk i just always use pro

i know how to do a back flim on ps2 for mx vs atv unleashed it simple just press

r1 at the base of the jump then push up for the steering ( my defult left analogue stick) then hold that for a bit then quikly pull it down and hopefuly it works.
