Let me put this plain as possible. If you EVER, I mean EVER, thought WoW was slow for leveling, don't EVER play AION. The grind is absolutely ridiculous.

There are going to be some people who say I haven't grinded once in this topic. Believe them if you want, hell try the game yourself, and witness my last Korean MMO I ever buy.

Does this game have monthly fees like World of Warcraft? If it does then I'll stick with Guild Wars:Trilogy until I find another MMORPGs that doesn't have monthly fees. I am a fan of free game not free-2-play (ex: MapleStory) games you pay for the game and play forever.

@SulouffV2 Technically Aion does have a trial, but whoever came up with the idea of their trial system needs to get kicked in the balls. In order to get in, you need to have someone who has had an active account for at least three months invite you to try it out. It's so counterintuitive that I don't see why they even have a trial system in place.

Aion is a design master piece, but put it in the hands of NCsoft and u doomed it with NO online support or Community to Devs communication. it had potential, and STILL have, but i doubt NCFAILMUCH will ever manage to fix it.

Ok everyone has their own opinion but I disagree completely with what you said. NcSoft has constant Look on the community updates that lets the aion community know what they are doing and to address player concerns. No other MMO game Ive played ever had a company do something like this. They also have made drastic changes to the game in a very short amount of time due to player concerns. If you look at their site you will see all the posts of dev's talking to the community.

Great review, I used to hate MMo's but I've always been fascinated by the idea of flying, and when this game came out I said OK I have to try it, it looks to good... Yes it is a grind sometimes but once u figure out HOW to play the game that grind is no longer present and you can really start having fun. I've tried wow and I hated it, I tried Lineage and i eventually started to hate it... Aion is the first MMO I'm actually enjoying. My best friend and his GF started playin it after they saw it

@50josh50 Erm not really. There is a collusium which is FFA pvp. Other than that you get rifters who basically invade the other race's homeland and gank all the players there. Or there is abyss pvp a place where you constantly find the asmodians and eylisians fighting. Flight pvp is pretty awesome too but it's normally the ranged classes with the advantage. @50josh50 Dredgion for levels 46-50 and Chantra Dredgion for 51-55. It's essentially an instance where your group is paired against a group from the other faction. There's also quite a bit of PvE in this instance, and depending how you play it, you can either cut straight to the PvP or avoid it entirely and try to win the instance by pure PvE.

I think Aion is ok but I don't like how all the armor looks alike and there's not as many items in the game as say WoW. Now WoW on the other hand everyone never has the same armor on and it all looks cool. Akins armor is just boring... Oh and idk what the pay by hour thing is... The only way I saw to pay is monthly or buy a time card... Maybe by the time version 3.0 comes out the game will have more items and whatnot for now I like WoW more

@jennybabe8 Jenny, this review was done 4 months before the american version released. The game at the time was how it is described in this review, once the NA version was released many things were changed. Also, the highest level at the time of this review was either 40 or 45, thus a 'grind' at level 36 would seem reasonable as you near the level cap. I did however reach cap multiple times in both the Chinese and American releases, but I don't believe I ever stated I was 'pro'.

forgot to tell them about the best part of the game, almost everything is a fuckin grind, and how monsters take away a shit ton of health, leveling shouldnt feel like a job, aion sucks at being fun, graphics are top notch though, if you wanna kill the same monsters for hours at a time then this is your game, dont let lvls 1-30 fool you its just the beginning

@Hitzdahooka Graphics aren't top notch. Character graphics are top notch. The rest is defined by its art syle, making it look better while it really has fewer polygons than WoW, and about as many as GW has.
