  • got to love the Chinese

    always thinking about the future

  • FASTER!!!

  • Woow, 2800 miles green wall in 2050, that would be an engineering miracle.

i am confident China can do it, Chinese speed and dedication created so many miracles before. Go China

  • Support!!!

  • volunteers wtf

  • Every god damn idiot says "climate change" and "climate change"! "Global Warming" seems inconvenient seeing that there isn't WARMING in some places. Furthermore, the jackasses who think it's all "climate change" should have thought that desertation occurs when trees are exterminated! This move from China is the most badass one that even the western nations can't comprehend! Using trees to terraform a zone is a very good idea and that's what they're doing in the long run!

  • @Alkinoos7 The reason there isn't "global warming" in some places, is well, because it's "global".

While the Chinese attempt somewhat commendable, it is really a cheap bandaid for a more serious deforestation problem that they don't want to address. This project has been largely a failure as the lack of biodiversity cannot support other animal and plant life that you normally find in a forest. This also makes it more susceptible to disease having nearly a billion trees die in 2000 alone.

  • they should be planting natural grasses , not trees.

  • climate change? lol.

man created it with stupid farming practices.

  • great job

  • We can overcome this!! manpower can kill the desert, haha

  • Westerners always complain, destroy, rape. Look what China had done proactively better than US, UK French, and all those white fuckers did nothing to solve the climate issue.

  • @virtuous8

You're making a rather sweeping statement and you're basing it on an anecdote.

  • The Green Wall of China is a great project, hopefully it'll put a stopgap between fertile land and the expanding Gobi Desert. If it good actually put a good dent in the intensity of the annual sandstorms, that would be an engineering miracle.

  • @SayYesToCCTV I am sad to say this but it is true. Green wall of China is and will be a failure.
