  • Amazing work man!

  • Gruwelijk!

  • god damn i wish i was that talented

  • Stunning

  • SOOOOOO AMAZING!

  • Great job!

Don't create a tutorial. This quality of work should be self-earned.

  • much better than CGI... that organic feel that any scale model has is yet to be replicated by any 3d model. Great job! I'll try with models too!

  • Stunning! I've never seen a model kit look that good.

  • REALLY GOOD!!!

  • really nice work man!

  • Would be great to see this in HD!

  • great job!!!

  • No wonder Hllywood brought in 3D. Cause it's shitting itself. If Indi film can do this on no budget they had to come up with something to try and beat it. However 3D has got some nasty side effects. And indie can compete with resolution with the big guns now. So well done again. Fantastic work and Practical FX are far from dead as seen here. Superb.

  • DUDE!!!!!

  • OMFG!!! That is exquisite! I used to dabble in model animation a lot, but your work, with a very small model nonetheless......AWESOME! Hats off to you! :) I would swear that was a REAL Hind gunship in your final composites!

  • You must post a tutorial.

Yes, I mean must. It's your duty as a citizen of whichever country you're from, towards the rest of the world.

  • phenomenal job! amazing what you can still do with models and minimal CGI...

  • this really does look fantastic! very nice work!!!!!!! Very nice!!

  • This is truly an incredible effect!!!! what's even more impressive is that you compiled this from various elements and made it look so freakin real. Can you share what you made this in? The Rotor Elements in 3D...what program did you use to make that? What program did you use to make the heat haze and light flares...and ridley scott look? Thank you!

  • Your genius

  • Freaking sweet! You just need a shot of Rambo and you have a scene. :D

  • how says 1/72 models and cgi dont go together

  • Nice

  • This is fantastic. Much more realistic than a pure 3D shot.

  • thats incredible. good job

  • watch my test video for visual effects. please

  • Realy good job. But i mis the markers for the camera traking. Or is it markerless tracking?

  • awesome.

  • Oh wow indeed. Showing up hollywood :).

  • did u shoot the model flying outside?

  • Can i use this in a production of mine,i have to make it by january and i will give credit to u

  • Scott, we definitely need a tutorial for this one. I'm sure we could all figure out the basics, but We need to get it at your level of expertise. This is just purely amazing.

  • HOLY SHIT THAT LOOKS SO REAL! :D

  • Tutorial maby Plz?

  • ha not bad! Alot better than what I be seeing in alot of these cheap ass sci-fi channel movies

  • Is that model plastic or diecast? Where'd ya get those rotor effects?

  • 5 ppl were jealous :3

  • I'm sure you thought that was a real helicopter

    nope, Chuck Testa

  • Very good

  • holy shit

  • fuck due the studio sneed to hire you now!!!!

  • dude thats amazing!

  • AAA this is awesome!

  • Just wanted to come back and ask if you have done any more fx like this? Seriously that is one of the most convincing model shots I've ever seen. I would never even suspect it wasn't real, if I just saw this for the first time. What camera was that shot with? How did you get it to capture at 50fps? Is there a reason why you used that frame rate? Does it sell the model shot better? I know this is several years old, but Thanks!

  • That was amazing! Minatures are a million times better than 100% cgi fx. I did like it better though before the color grade.

  • wooow

  • Well done! congrats. You have a bright future ahead in this business...

  • you sir have made the best visual effects shot, ever. you used the non cg model with cg propellers. that is the most realistic and best visual effects shot ever! :)

  • THAT was really nice. I'm amazed.

  • fucking awesome made

  • holy cow! that's GREAT!!

  • That is amazing dude. A+ from me. Do you think the same can be done for a tank?

  • Shit, it looks so real! :P

  • amazing, good job

  • I like the fact that you replaced the sound for the Ridley Scott version, as if the sound is even more Ridley Scott!! :D

  • Tutorial please

  • Looks very realistic ... Great job

  • i must say, it looks better than if you had done it in 3D. Good work!

  • Excellent job sir!

  • omg! epic

  • NICE!

  • well done!

  • awesome

  • ur a fucking pro man congrats

  • Nice modeling short cut way to go! I have some models I made out of scrap for a film I think I will use them now!

  • FUCK! Is your surname Einstein?

  • This is the kind of stuff ILM does ALL DAY LONG. Although they have become masters of all things CGI, most of their work is still composites like this. Great job!

  • GOOD WORK

  • Whoever disliked dis is gonna die

  • I was dissapointed at first when i saw the model toy, but i am very impressed with the outcome. Good fucking job

  • Thats awesome! great lighting work!

  • can u do something similar like this with a tank?

  • How did you make the roter elements? I mean what program did you use?

  • HOLY SHIT THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!! did you make the rotor elements in after effects as well?

  • 3ds max?

  • goddamn that looks good!

  • you got skills. nice work. simple and clean.

  • That is amazing!

  • what software did you use??? is this like helicompter automatic preset? can I do this in windows paint? I am from nigeria and we would like videos like this for movie. You come work for me to make helicompter in movie???? email me and we can have meeting to discuss how you work for me. Would also need 3d woman to jump from helicompter but this should be easy as you can just do it quick in couple of minutes

  • Greaaaaaat!!!!!

  • tutorial please man i subscribed and nice job!!!

  • tht was freaking awesum

u shpuld definetely do some tutorials

  • Mate... you are amazing, you really stand out above those 12-15 year old American kids with their sleezy editing and filming, you produce products which is great in quality and I would have a hard time determining whether its homemade or not. I am starting to learn editing with me and a couple of mates, uhhh i just like to know if youcould help :) btw... im well educated and in year 12 :)

  • NICE!

  • PLZ DO TUTORIAL

  • I wonder if you could done something like that, just with a Tank (T-80) rolling through desert

  • Very realistic

  • Outstanding! The Sound FX and the dust make it work!

  • WOW Looks so simple and effective.... >_< Sweetness :P

  • This is SO AWESOME! and simple :p

  • how do you do the rotor elements in 3d?

  • excellent job.

  • Wow that looks amazing!

  • Next time have a visual tracking mast sticking out where the rotors go and the elements will match better. Very good and impressive effect and thanks for showing how easy it can be if you keep it simple and quick.

  • Great...only the track motion is not perfect.

  • Wow, that looks great. Does it look as good on higher resolutions?

  • Could you make a tutorial?

  • that looks 100% real. Looks like something I would see in a movie. Good job!

  • Amazing

  • Cool but you can see in the final footage that it's still a model :P

  • @MultiNoobBoob The day the Earth Stood Still - I can totally tell its a hoaky robot suit with cheap set parts....but it is still a good movie. Obvious model use does not mean that it isn't still just as good :) What he did with a budget is good.

  • how did you get the video of the rotors, i know about layering but where did you get the footage?

  • @huggy99huggy it clearly says, created in 3d

  • @huggy99huggy 0:15 I think he made them in a 3d program...

  • @huggy99huggy 0:13 "Rotor elements created in 3D"

  • fuckin sick

  • Lol @ ridley scott effect!

  • Dude...you have a future in the enterteinment industry...anyone can make effects with an unlimited budget. Hats off to you and the best of luck. LIKE

  • Outstanding. I'll bet your camera has a low D.O.F. I find that so imortant when it comes to the stop-motion monsters in the stuff I do. I've been doing this for 22 years and these miniature FX look better than the very best CGI. Great work.

  • that is NICE!! im trying to learn off utube how to put in 3ds max files into after effects, u KILLED IT! lol

  • WOW loks like a movie o_O

  • great job!

  • did you make the rotor,s in after effects or in a 3d program

  • Riddle Scott look? What is it?

  • great video can you put tutorial video?

  • Really simple.

    Very effective, great work.

Consider idea stolen if i ever want to make a movie :P

  • Just added this to my favs. You realy should do a tut about this :).

  • hahaha...very very coll man!!!! Nice Job!!! ^^

  • @scottvoxonfire Would you mind doing a tutorial?? This is awesome

  • This is VERY nice indeed, great job..! Gotta learn to do these VFX things too, any good way to start? Getting Adobe Premiere, AE and 3dsMAX I suppose?

  • GEEZUS, thats good. Much better than the effects in most movies. Have you ever been in the movie industry. If nobody hired you for movies then they are stupid.

You should be well known in the vfx industry! Bet you could make a movie thats better than aliens for.......... 1000$! (remember they spent 18.5 million on aliens). This shows that you don't need a team of 100 people to make realistic vfx. You just need this guy.

  • reealy cool dod you have the footage??

  • I shot the footage

  • Great job man!

  • wow amazing what software are you using

  • Adobe After Effects

  • I love it!

  • AMAZING!

  • bloody excellent. best budget effect i've seen so far.

  • very very tidy...

  • Far better and more realistic than a lot of 3D stuffs see on TV + Movies.

    Good job !

  • very nice dude fantastic job..u can make a new Rambo movie :)
