  • Those are Aquarian "Jack De Johnette" signature.

  • @amrith No man. Those are black coated Response 2. Sure.

  • I started drumming about 5 years ago and was blown completely away by Nick's talent on this very solo. Now that I can hang a little, I find the better I get the better Nick gets. He's untouchable and a brilliant musician!

  • does anyone know what kind of snare that is?

  • i think it is a dw metal snare (brass or copper, i cant really tell). his set sounds beautiful though. it doesnt take much to make a dw sound great.

  • It's a Mapex Black Panther.

  • my bad its mapex.

  • amazing

  • He sings awesome as well

  • he is indeed a great drummer and singer i would love to see him play live sometime

  • I got to meet him at Three Rivers Prog fest in summer of 2008, awesome person! Very skilled and just amazing to watch live!

  • lucky you :D

  • He has a very interesting tom sound IMO.

    Cool vid.

  • awesome

  • def-! Nick is one amazingly talented and creative drummer! and a great funny guy aswell! heavily underrated!

  • underrated indeed this guy is so good his other videos are just as impressive

  • absolutely! He's a monster musician! Good singer aswell! I hate the fact that guys like Nick, Sucherman, Beauford (extreme guys) don't get the credit their talents and creations deserve.

  • @Sabiano

We've been seeing this "aswell" recently, as well as "infact" and "alot;"

"aswell" is not a word. Two words. "As well."

I don't blame you. Please just try to spread the word!

  • @gretschdrummer1218 Hell yeah, and he plays other instruments well too! Great talent.
