I wish more kids would look to the example of someone like David for inspiration and guidance. They are exposed to so much trash from the entertainment world. David is such a breath of fresh air. I read somewhere that he brought humility and innocense to an industry so lacking in both. It's sad and disturbing that as an entertainer, the more perverse and annoying you are, the more popular you become.

David hahha you are so right!!!!! butt i am the exact opposite i love to speak it's the easiest thing for me!!! i have spoken in front of hundereds of people but....i am scared of singing in front of people so i decided im going for i am singing with my mom!!!!!!!!! and well when i was younger i could do it in a group i sang a solo in front of 3 thousand people and we won a trophy so thank you for this!!!!!

You're a great inspiration & example for your young fans, who take your words n & deeds and intentions to heart. It was just a non-partisan conference for women with workshops about women's interests (health, finances, children's issues, etc.). It's put together with a board that has members from both political parties (and some independents). What I loved about David during the last election is that he didn't even get into the debate when interviewed. He WAS too young to vote, but I think he realizes (unlike a LOT of celebs) that he has fans all along the political spectrum who enjoy what he does.

He's so sweet! I loved his speech. He may not think so, but with all the rambling he does which I love, he was quite inspiring in some of the things he said. Loving your family, keeping the faith, having confidence in yourself, facing your fears, doing good for others.... so on and so on. He was wonderful and a true role model for the today's youth!

You know what? I go to Mass every Sunday and inevitably, the priest or deacon will give the sermon reading off a sheet of paper around 80% of the time. Whever the sermon is given without any notes, it is so refreshing and seems more from the heart. BUT, it is a very difficult thing to do! and not everyone has the skills to do it. I cannot give enough kudos to David for having such courage to face his fears and do what he did. He had notes, but preferred to do without them, and did terrific

On the list of people's greatest fears in life, "public speaking" is # 1. David tackles this fear head on and talks in front of humdeds of "grown ups" many of whom are not "fans" (yet). I am a grown up fan already, so I already love and admie him.

David never fails to astound me with his bravery and integrity. Look how far he's come in 1 1/2 years. What he's doing here is far more difficult than being on AI. I am so impressed with him. I am also inspired.

David does pretty well with speaking in front of a crowd, especially since it is obviously not his favorite thing to do. I love to speak in public but can't sing worth beans; I'd never do it under any circumstances. David, however, shines while singing--he's in his element. I am amazed at how he changes from a shy, awkward, nervous teenager into a self-confident and self-assured young man just as soon as he starts singing. It's as though David is 2 different people.

I agree. David continues to amaze me when he does things he is scared or nervous about. Like the acapella Christmas songs in his Jingle Balls sets last year, singing at his first awards show performance in Spanish in front of an audience of Hispanic celebs, reassuring us all with a tweets and a photo from his own quadruple wisdom teeth extraction, and his public speaking, not just at this event but around the world. I believe the advice in his speech because he doesn't just say it, he does it.

This guy is amazing. He is nervous and not an experienced speaker but man he is BRAVE! An 18 yr. old speaking to a large group of women is couragous. David is not concerned about delivering a WOW speech or impressing with great vocabulary. this was not a rehearsed speech. He was just himself and spoke from his heart. Great job David!!

I was taught in public speaking class not to state to audience you're not good at speaking. Because

people might start judge your speech from the begining that it will be boring.

But to David... It's obviously an exception. I believe people enjoy a lot when he talks despite his

nervousity. That makes him genuine and extraordinary. People can't help loving him =)
