  • Great Job !! I had a steel player in my band once who played left handed steel and held a gibson guitar on his lap ..he would switch back n forth from playing steel to lead guitar and never missing a note ..he was awesome .. thanks Lou for all your talent in the band :)

  • I love it!

Helmi van der Kroft / Holland

  • How many years have you been playing? Is it really difficult to learn and how expensive is the Rains model you use? I'm still very much a neophyte at playing electric guitar, although I'm beginning to understand more and more every time I pick it up...it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice...and switching from one chord to the next so that its seamless...

Great music that I've heard on every video, especially the Orange Blossom Special..

    Don Tireman

  • Dave... this is the best version of this song I have ever heard played on steel, Nashville pro's or whoever......you should be proud to be such a fine player and an inspiration to other steeler's all over! Great job!!!

    Mike

  • So nice that you get a doubble neck, wait for a C6 tune

  • hi dave sorry it took so long feel better now very good playing...

  • @motherhawk38 will you e-mail me thanks

  • being a standard guitar player, seeing the pedal steels with the two fretboards and only one seems to be used, could someone tell me what the fretboard that is closest to you is for? by the way, wonderful playing.

  • @westprice That is the C6th neck..some call it the jazz neck or blues neck..great for playing swing tunes.

  • @westprice The closest neck is tuned in C6 and the neck he is playing is tuned in E9th. C6th is typically a Hawaiian sound and E9 is country.

  • Lovely David.. Bob

  • Hi Dave: Nice touch.. It's the kind of stuff that brings back many memories of playing night-after-night in the bar scenes here in good ole Nova Scotia. during the '60's to the '90's.. Believe it or not, we have Ray and Company visiting us and doing a concert over here this summer.. in Halifax.. What a way to stay young.. woxnerw
