i just updraded from a ds 80 to yz 85, ds 80s are alright on power but terrible suspension and the yz 85 goes so much faster

Lucky! My dad is one of the top 3 engineers in America but will not go near a dirt bike, my mom trys but ya, my 3 sisters only ride horses but I'm the only one who rides dirt bikes. I got a 2004 YZ85 all up with race parts and i'm fast. Wish my family all rode dirt bikes! :(

The PW50 was standard. The power reduction plate was never installed and throttle stop screw was removed. Not fast enough for him, hence the update.

You should consider getting a X-tender lift for the rear shock on the pw80, makes it look and feel alot more like a dirt bike. It doesn't actually lift the bike up very much, it more of levels out the back of the bike to the front of the bike.

Thanks for the nice comments.

I did consider getting a lift kit, a fellow club member installed one on his lads bike, but decided to get the purpose built bikes instead. The kits do make a diffenence.
