I live about 20 miles away from this kennel and have been staying updated on what has been going on between them and the Dept of Ag...

I can't understand why states allow this to happen. Maybe if you hold the person that licenses and inspects these places accountable, we might see some of these puppy mills shut down. The owners should be caged outside as well.

This is awful, the more I watch it the more it just burns me up that people can be so selfish and inconsiderate. If you are going to run a breeding service, fine...its the USA..you have the right. But if you can't give them what they need, food, water, adequate vet care and the other necessities (love and affection) why bother! People way to often look at as a way to make some quick cash and forget that all these pups best interests are at stake here. Ugh...I could just go on and on about it.

They never stopped breeding...they are STILL breeding and selling puppies. People that have been to this breeder still contact me after purchasing sick puppies...

Part 1: First of all, this is a great video. It really gets the message across. I am barely a teenager but I know about mills and I want them stopped. I've grown up and been raised with a golden, he is my best friend. I also have a bernese I was at the mall the other day to find that they had a pet store. I went in there with my mom to see the conditions the dogs were in, and I a Berner in a cage too small to stand. It had no food or water.

Darn it! The breeder gives people CHEAP PUPPIES! Blame the people who want "Walmart" CHEAP puppies! Your ideal of dog care should cost thousands! To have them run free without cages with individual attention, love and care. There is no way care for them in your ideal way 24/7 and give people the price they want! I'm not a breeder but had an accidental litter. I've put hundreds $ and 24/7 into bringing them up and people want to get them for free or less than it cost for vet care alone!

This is something anyone who is interested in getting a pure dog of any breed. Find a reputable breeder and demand to see the litter in it's actual living environment with the parents. Just doing something this simple would put all these scum bags that run these mills of of business.

Thumper...you are right...people need to visit the breeder, ask questions and make sure they are allowed to see all aspects of the breeding program. Personally, I prefer rescue and shelters now....even pure breed dogs that cost a lot of money end up being dumped once the realization of the time and effort it takes to care for them sets in.

I find the whle sibject of puppy mill a look into under dogdom! read the book Bloodlines and it makes u rlly concerned and want to take action on this subject...One of my dogs i s from a pet shop...that I found out got dogs from a puppy mill supplier :( this upset me and is quitea personal issue and worldwide problem ne?

vRaZ1el.....it's ok if you are not thrilled with the breed....I happen to love all dogs. Two of my Dachshunds are totally opposite in behavior. One is calm and just loves to cuddle and the other takes forever to warm up to strangers. He's loud but neither of them are hyper. Punishment should fit the crime but it will never happen in GA. GA is really good at keeping these places licensed...they are interested in collecting the fees that keep places like this in business. I know who these people are. I've read about them on hotdogblog and seen their website. This lady and her husband are so full of crap it's unbelievable. They should be put in a cage themselves for a while. I think the punishment should fit the crime.

What can we all do to help these poor dogs? Please never shop at petstores that sell puppies for profit. Never buy one from a petstore. They are puppymill dogs. Responsible breeders want to meet the people that buy their puppies. Adopt from your local shelter or a breed specific rescue group. There are so many dogs that would make great pets that are put to death every single day. Make a difference for these guys because they can not help themselves. Thanks.

Probably, but you know alot of people think that they are saving these dogs by buying them...but alls that does is give the breeder more money to do it again. We may save 1 live, but by doing so we're killing hundreds more.
