@X2N18 you are an idiot, the 3800 series 2 is one of the best engines chevy ever made and i have had a 2001 LS for 6 years now and the only things that i needed to change was the tires.

I have a 2002 Chevy Impala with leather seats, "doughnut headresters" and a sunroof with an overhead thermometer and compass function. Its a really nice car, compared to the Hyundai Accent and Toyota Echo my parents drive.

They took away the ss i think in like 1999 and then brought in back in 2004 with the impala ss which had 3.8L Supercharged V-6

They removed the Impala SS (upscale caprice) in 1996. They brought it back in 04-05 using the L67 3800 series 2 supercharged. Now the 06 and up models use the 5.3L v8
