As I remember, back in the day those 3 into 1 expansion chambers greatly increased this engine's torque and horsepower. They were also used by some club-level production racers because they saved a ton of weight while providing much improved ground clearance. The sound was also pretty good, but that is purely subjective.

@CaptHollister I think a 3 in 1 expansion increases fuel scavenging in the two stroke cycle, which isn't something you want to have. Each cylinder must have its own chamber in order to resonate properly and reduce fuel scavenging.
