  • sounds great with the bb after it! I was thinking of this combination! tnx for helping me decide! great demo!

  • @tomiclav Yes this combo works great

  • nice gear

  • Hey, very nice video! Love the sound of the Muff and your lovely playing.

Do you have tabs of the solos you played? Would be nice to know =)

    Greetings!

  • @Traeumeer Hi and thank you so much. I don't have tabs as I was improvising... I have an album out on cdbaby if you are interested, have a look at my website (see the end of the video).

  • Very nice vid!!!

just a stock big muff? or is it some vintage one?

    cheers!

  • @DarthG0m3zzz Thx! It is a stock Big Muff Pi reissue that I bought about 5 years ago

  • amazing tone and great playing! Congratulations.

I am trying to use my Big Muff live , however, playing with my bands (both noisy rock bands), to bring it to a volume that it can be clearly heard live, I have to raise it´s volume to almost 3 o ´clock and it becomes extremely noisy, almost unusable cause if I stop playinf for a moment without turning it off it´s huge noise invades too loudly. Have tried changing order in the chain and using batteries, but nothing solved this yet ...

  • @rodrigocastrofoto Thanks! What guitar and amp are you using? Have you tried different EQ settings on the amp?

  • @rbigeard I am using a Fender Strat Standard USA 97 and playing in 3 different amos (Fender Bassman, Roland Jazz Chorus and ORange Crush 30R), and in all same appears. Think it might really be a problem in my pedal... thanks for your reply.

  • @rodrigocastrofoto search 'big muff tone wicker'. recent model, one main selling point is that it cuts through the mix due to a more transparent EQ. Haven't played it, just pointing you in a possible direction...

  • @rodrigocastrofoto Try placing an EQ pedal after it to boost the mids and cut through the mix. Also a Build Your Own Clone Big muff has a tone wheel so youre not stuck with the Big Muff scoop.. the plus side to this muff is that you can build it to rams head or triangle era specs. hope this helps!

  • Your "clean" tone has a bit of a reverb. Very nice, but not 100% clean :)

  • @teamhex it is clean as opposed to overdriven/distorted. AFAIK You can have a clean tone with reverb.

  • @rbigeard For sure man, I really do like your clean tone though. I myself use reverb on my Deville and call it clean. Just throwing it out there. Happy playing man.

  • @teamhex Thanks! I do agree I have put too much of reverb on some of my videos though ;-) I am being more careful now. Happy playing too!

  • Yep, very nice!
