  • Great review, subscribed.

  • wow thank u this was a very good review i think im gonna buy one now

  • I'm really disappointed about this thing , I got it and the Temps control give me so fake temps , I really don't know what close with it , its shows HUGE different info compared SpeedFan .

  • Thanks for showing a comparo between the Zalman and Scythe, the Scythe clearly looks to be the easier one to control and I agree it does look better than the Zalman. Just wondering, is the Skythe still performing and functioning o.k. after a year?

  • I hate how the Controllers with the options i like look terrible, i love the way this fan controller looks, but i like the options of the Zalman

  • Very nice review OP. Question though. Why do u have 2 fan controllers? I need a fan controller so I will get this but do I need 2 of them?

  • do you need pwm fans to control the speed of the fans?

  • @ImaginaryGuns No. Any fan can be controlled by controlling the voltage sent to the fan.

  • Great review, Thanks very much. I decided to buy one after this :)

  • i love how he says scythe wrong

he says it like : (Sk-ahi-th)

    when it is actually (Sahi-Th)

its the thing the grim reaper carry's

    no hard feelings great vid

    i thumb-ed you up

  • @nata911 None taken. I don't purport to know everything! HAHA! ...and you gave me your criticism in the correct manner. Usually I have people yelling at me and calling me names. :(

  • I was deciding b/w this one and the Lamptron FC-5. I bought FC-5 and the LCD turned out to be crap. I wish I went with Scythe...too late.

  • @zver711 It's only $40 dollars at performance-pcs...I'd order one up! :)

  • "We've got some instructions.... Just good...."

Nobody reads instructions these days xD

  • Have you checked Lamptron's FC-5? 30W per channel and 7 selectable colors.

  • @0pTicaL823 Yes, I do like the FC-5...but I don't have 6 individual fans that I need to know temps and speeds. IMHO, I think it is only necessary to have two channels, maybe 3...one channel for inlet fans, one channel for outlet fans, and maybe a third channel for a loud memory fan like the Corsair 60mm fans. I don't see why it would be necessary in a build to change the RPMs of individual fans. Doesn't seem very useful.

  • How did you connect all three fans on the top, to the same chanel?

  • @barigade Koolance makes a splitter that you can connect four fans to one channel. Check out their site and you'll see it. :)

  • @Trubyd44 Thats great! Thanks alot!

  • @Trubyd44, did you notice any overheat of the controller itself at full load? cause mine gets very hot... =( Maybe a fan to cool the fan controller that controls the fans that cool the case for a cooler setup? xDDDDD

  • I'm always looking forward seeing clips from you and it's safe to say that you're doing a sterling job with this unboxing & review. If anything to "complain" about would be that the rear side of the fancontroller box is missing in your review photage, would have been nice to see it, but hey - there's google.

    cheers

  • @Wallonische No, I haven't noticed any heating problems. It may get warm, but I hadn't noticed it getting warm enough to cause an issue. Yeah, someone else told me about missing the box's back. Oops!

  • By removing the Fan guard from your Delta fan you should be getting 5-10 db lower noise depending on the fan speed! get a normal dust filter or something.

Very nice setup by the way.

  • @toolband86 I could...but the fan is VERY dangerous. It could really take a finger off if you weren't careful. Honestly. I can put this fan on the floor and the output from it can move a ceiling fan!!!

  • Very nice.. I use the NZXT and that also works great.. Awesome video..

  • @tuva500 It also can display Fahrenheit as well.

  • ....At some point in his life , Trubyd44 has owned a CB Radio , Me Thinks.....lol! .... We Need Game benchmarks!!! on your beast!....

  • @mrjamesb56 I know, I know...

  • Good review. I have 2 Scythe Kaze Master fan controllers(not the pro version) and I think they are brilliant. Good build quality, functional and sensibly priced.

  • what fans are those i need new ones when i get this controller

  • @sbvikings30 They are Xigmatek branded fans. They look awesome, have good flow and are basically quiet. I definately recommend them.

  • @Trubyd44 what model number are they

  • @sbvikings30 Sorry, the 120mm fans are: XIGMATEK XLF-F1253 and the 140mm fans are: XIGMATEK XLF-F1453 You can purchase them from performancepcs. I will send a link to your email.

  • Nice Fan Controller! I agree with U about how stylish it looks! I like the fact that U can control up to 6 fans too!

  • It looks very good. And I must try and get my fan controller up so I can use the Delta fan. And I fixed the H50 thing last night so now the Corsair logo is the correct way ;)

  • @KapteinFruit Very good! Did you have enough AS5?

  • @Trubyd44 More than enough, my friend. I bet I will have enough for two more.

  • yup i agree with you that fan controller looks much better then your old one looks alot easy

  • Would be cool if it showed the wattage and the time its been on liek the olader one you have. :D

  • @ft01061990 I definately agree!...then I'd only need one unit.

  • @Trubyd44 and theres room in the middle of it too!

  • @ft01061990 Well, something that I missed in the review. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME! There is the fan error LED in the middle. It goes off when one of the fans die...but I would still rather have the power meter and such there.

  • @Trubyd44 the Sentry LX LCD Meter lloks preaty cool! :D

  • @ft01061990 Just looked at it...it looks ok, but hell I don't need a clock built into the front of my computer. My computer screen tells me, my wall clock tells me, my watch tells me...sheesh! :D

  • Oh, sorry didn't notice the pop up. 40 bucks is real cheap for something that sexy.

  • @VolcomTomatoe I tell you what...I am very impressed with the functionality and professional look. It's not like those plasticky...toys that have graphs and such for fans.

  • Love it! How much was it? You should paint the zalman black.

  • @VolcomTomatoe Did you see the pop-up? It's $39.95 USD. Oh, about the painting, I have already planned on doing that...video to come. Thx for your comment!

  • how much is this?

  • @Alwyn1000 Yeah, I should have mentioned that. eeks!!! It was $39.95. Sorry, I'll put a pop-up in there for price. Thx!
