You still open it the same way its to pieces that open the hood further out.

You can buy a stand off kit for the hood. go to cip1.com and you will find it. Prob around $30. its like that to let more air in.

Does that have an LSD in it? Tried some donuts in my super with a 1904 and twin dells and it would just spin the inside wheel even on full lock and a bit wet. Just couldnt get it to whip around

How does the engine preform along the lines of speed and acceleration? I myself am rebuilding a 61 beetle, and plan to put in a 1600 with headers, since the original one is all siezed up from the burning of oil. And did you do anything else with the engine, just so I can get a good idea what to expect from the new engine.

dont get a super because most all of the parts are different from a regular beetle and also if the steering bushings are worn out it will wobble when ur going a certain speed and no im not talking about the new beetle
