I still got one...Its in the shed..Still got the rims and frame...seat and handle bars still there too.....Not sure what is missing.....ill have to check now....This brung me back....They must be rare...Cause i cant find any for sale...lol
I wanted one of these bikes after seeing the commercial. Never got one though. It looked cool, and was perfect for the kid who really rode a lot around their area like my friends and I did. It looks like one of the first mountain bikes or at lease a hybrid.
me to JB. I wanted this bike when I saw the commercial. Then my dad bought it for me for my birthday as a surprise. I rode the hell out of that bike. It was kinda cheap but lasted a long time for me. I loved it.
Yep this is the commercial I saw as a kid and thought it was the fastest bike on earth and had to have one. I never did get this bike but I'm now an amature cyclist and compete in races. I think this commercial had an impact on me to say the least.
Holy shit this is old!I remember this ad back in the day just had to get one for Xmas.I think I have a picture of me washing it like it was my car.gotta love the 80s lmfao
What the hell was that woman singing about? Damn, that was annoying.. And since the technology sucked in the 80s, I'm not surprised the girl was able the beat the kid in the race when he warped.
I had one that I bought from a friend for $20 which was a great deal. They were about $120 new in around 1987. Took it to school in the 4th grade and it got stolen along with about 20 other bikes from the area they designated to lock the bikes up in.
Over 20 years later I still recall the rear brake was rather fancy for a dept. store bike. It was some kind of enclosed drum brake with 2 cables for more pulling force.
To think, I spent of my freakin money on a freeride rig loaded to the gills with long travel suspension and whatnot, when I could have gotten a Street Machine. Damn!
i LOVED CHRISTMAS IN THE 80'S!!!!!TON O TOYS I USED TO GET.I ALWAYS REMEBERED THE LINE"MURRAY MOVES YOU FASTER!" PEACE!GOOD LOOKIN ON DA CHILDHOOD MEMORIES DUKE!WHOOP MANDOOLAH OUT

Even as shitty as the 80s Murrays were, they are INFINITELY better than department store bikes nowadays.
