Don't get it. How is this an excellent bluff? He had really good cards for 2-hand. He had an ace and a queen... and the flop gave him a slew of outs. Any ace or queen would get him top pair from his perspective. Any 9 or K would give him a straight. And there was even a small chance of a flush. Not the best hand possible at the time of the bet but FAR from being the worst and worthy of praise as a bluff.

Why Demidov shoved on the flop.

a) he's got two overcards to the board

b) he's got a double gutter straight draw

c) he's got a backdoor flush draw

d) he beats a lot of bluffs

e) Phillips has shown weakness with his "raise"

f) he isn't putting Phillips on anything thats jammin that board because of all the pre-flop shinanigans.

g) even if Phillips has an overpair, its possible that he would fold it because of the high pressure situation, fear of a higher over pair, or just that he's beat.
