today i was talking to my parents at dinner and i told them that i like to watch videos of bob ross to help me fall asleep. when they asked who he was, i told them he was a painter who had a tv show on pbs in the '80s. my mom immediately went "oh yeah! the happy trees guy! I remember him!"

fun fact:Bob Ross developed his fast painting style when he was in the USAF. He was raised in Florida, and never saw snow in person until he was relocated to Alaska in the Air Force.

@brownee920 Indeed. People can say about Bob Ross whatever they want and parody his way of talking and presenting, but I think many wouldn't mind having his painting skills. I've seen most of his episodes at one time or another, and remember many of them. Sometimes, I wonder if I should just pick up some painting stuff and try it.

Now 17, i am thrilled to say that i learned SO much from watching this man paint. as a very young child, my dad always watched his videos and i got hooked :P out of all the artists out there, i can honestly say that he has been one of my biggest inspirations. :)
