'Course the problem here is that Thomas has gained too much of a reputaition amoungst adults for changes to go unnoticed... even for HiT. Rather than maiking it a family-intended show, like in the past, it's now geared solely towards kids. That's the problem, there's now line in between viewers. From what I've seen, the main consumer are the PARENTS, it's really more about inpressing the them; the kids are minor in this. Ironicly, older kids seem to dislike the changes.

@SassPD22 I made this video before I knew that RandomDCE was the one who came up with the HDG's. They're made to show how someone would improve on a concept or show. Even so, my arguments stand where they are.

The series was oriented originally to children in grade school, NOT toddlers/pre-schoolers! Why do you think Season 5 was filled with so much action?

Why HiT sucks? They are not consistent in making the series enjoyable (for example: introducing so much new characters that we'll NEVER see again, making it so childish that the realism just disappeared, and they always contradicted the events that ALREADY happened during the series run)... T_T

If you haven't noticed, how HiT made the storylines un-realistic. Sooo if we're to see how a real railway works, then it should made sense like in Seasons 1-7.

What it boiled down to though, was me saying that yes, HiT Entertainment are hideously misusing Awdry's beloved characters, and an adaptation should at least stay somewhat true to the source material.

Listen bud, I know Thomas And Friends is a kid's show, but that doesn't mean it has to be baby-ish!

I can understand what you mean that we can't force HiT to bring Thomas back to his original roots, but still, I would like to see more Awdry-related material in the series.

@coasterfreak14 - Not quite. Awdry's son wrote a long line of new stories, but it was thought that kids would enjoy the more ...sugary episodes. They also wanted to appeal to parents who started whining about how they wanted more plush TV role models.

@ThomasRules8391 this is so sad, your all grown up and still watching a show that's meant for children. of course it going to be babyish because the show is aim at children. normal grown ups don't watch thomas because, it's not aim at their age. you don't know how maturity works. when you get to a certain age, your're suppose to stop watching it.
