  • Anyone know where i can get the sheet music for this?

  • This is some serious Nick Drake shit, kind of laughing at the "omg coldplay" comments. It's a good song; if you don't like it, come back to it in 10 years.

  • @phlipstar i love the department of eagles and grizzly bear so much but ive got to CANT just sucks

  • so coldplay-ish, so boring

  • @antimattermind it kind of sounds like coldplay's old sound, which I like, but ever since brian eno has been helping coldplay produce their last 2 albums i think their sound is alot more upbeat (and kind of annoying). I actually dont like coldplay's new sound, thats why i moved on to grizzly bear and department of eagles.

  • this is the best song i've heard in a long time.

  • @monkeyxx and I'm sorry for that. But I love Danny and English is not my strongest suits so I don't quite know how to state my reasoning. Borrowing that statement without crediting pitchfork was wrong and I'm sorry.

  • @monkeytsuna Don't be. You expressed a feeling that a fair amount of the people viewing this share/will share.

  • Comment removed

  • @monkeytsuna you just ripped that idea straight off of pitchfork that linked you to this video, you plagiarist!!

  • Also, there are hints of "happy" in there, that add to a "hopeful" sound if you ask me.

  • Who's cares if it sounds a little depressing? It's what he was going for. And coincidentally, I think this is one of his greatest efforts. I like the vibes I get.

  • FINALLY

  • Such a boring track.

If you need words to express your feelings in music, then you're not doing it correctly

  • Northern New Mexcio???

  • @porter128 yes! Abiquiu

  • @ameels12 That's what I thought! I used to live there, I know exactly where this is!

  • @porter128 I'm sorry.

  • @TheChippyRick I was 11, and yes, it was fucking terrible. The locals were harsh to the white fat british boy that I was. The scenery wasn't half bad though.

  • @porter128 haha. where was the closest hospital?

  • had this on replay for days. WANT ALBUM NOWWWWWW

  • beautiful.

  • yeah, this is good. thanks man.

  • Incredible. Dan Rossen is one of the greats.

  • Grizzly Bear, Department of Eagles, CANT, this... these guys can do no wrong.

  • Anyone else feel like Daniel Rossen has been listening to a lot of "Codex" by Radiohead?

  • @MissSandu No

  • @MissSandu He's just been listening to his favorites. Elliott Smith, Brian Wilson, Nick Drake. They're all over these chords.

  • Imma CRY. D':

  • fuck you, daniel rossen. i first heard your voice in 2008 when my girlfriend broke up with me. she sent me 'no one does it like you' as a way to tell me that i'd be fine or something stupid like that. i want so badly to ignore your music, but your voice is too compelling. you won't leave me alone and neither will she

  • Incredible. What a king!

  • so damn nice. Love the atmosphere.

  • Thanks Isom.

  • damn...pree rad...love grizzly bears track 'brother' too...peace

  • my awesome taste in music sent me here

  • @billyboyoyoyo ^indirectly as my awesome music taste led me to fleet foxes and they led me here

  • Isom Innis sent me here

  • this chord structure reminds me of something that 90's billy corgan might create. maybe not the trumpets and all, but the ambiance for sure. love this song, can not wait for the ep <3

  • Maravilloso tema. Gracias Daniel !!

  • unbelievable. love how the chords become almost optimistic, and then it's back to halloween town.

can't wait to hear the rest.

  • This is the best thing I've heard in a very long time. Hauntingly beautiful.

  • I need this music in my life

  • gorgeous.

  • moving vs. depressing.

  • Comment removed

  • @ivyhageman Albert Einstein, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Leonardo Da Vinci, Ayn Rand, Simone De Beavoir, etc. Google it.

  • To people who say this is depressing, really? Art isn't about being about being happy all the time, artists get sad too, and should express that!

  • This song cured my Aids :)

  • When is this album coming out? This song is alright, I'm sure the others will be even better.

  • I didn't think it was that great. Sorry. He's done some really good songs. This one meh.

  • Daniel, I love your music but come on! This is depressing.

  • @prettyzuri Say that to his face.

  • Dan Rossen is Grizzly Bear.

  • Thank you so much for the music! You're one of the best, sir. Your lyrics always seem more abstract and image driven rather than a more narrative style, while still retaining cohesiveness and structure... I love it, it correlates so well with the mood of the music. The combination of it all is incredibly emotionally evocative... and that's what it's all about. Your music takes me to another place, and I thank you for that good sir. You're going amazing places with your music and it's inspiring:)

  • Raw... Awesome... Rawesome.... Daniel Rawesome. Sorry.

  • wtf. I'm so excited for this EP. I never saw this coming, but, I'd always hoped! =) Thank you, Daniel Rossen. You've made my life that much more blissful many times. =)

  • Daniel you never cease to amaze me. Wow

  • Someone's been listening to Randy Newman ;) Tremendous!

  • on my 2012 playlist! have a look :)

  • Goodniceawesomeneatogroovysuperfantasticofabulousplendiferocity! <3

...and I really do mean that. More please.

  • This is good shit

  • Wow. Juts wow.

  • Daniel Rossen is far and away the most talented dude in Grizzly Bear. Department of Eagles is fucking incredible.

  • Oh yes. Daniel Rossen you talented individual.

  • Gorgeous.

  • What what what what is this. This is some of the most brilliant newer music I've ever heard. This is new territory in indie rock, and it's pushing the limits right up there with Joanna Newsom and [enter favorite artist's name here to avoid annoying response]. This art is mastered.

  • SO FUCKING PLEASED

  • Robin Pecknold sent me here.

  • Comment removed

  • @BellaDiLo317 Who's Robin? I'm gonna have to search this up =)

  • @BloodyCatastrophee

    Fleet Foxes

  • @RayasNegroOvejas AH! Nice! =) Well, Fleet Foxes know what's up! =)

  • @BloodyCatastrophee Fleet Foxes singer! Incredible band.

  • Absolute perfection.

  • I would like to listen to this song while sitting on a porch, wrapped in a blanket, staring at a frozen lake.

  • such a beautiful melancholy, it's pure pleasure

  • YES!!

  • Sitting here, in this yellow house, in winter, alone. Hearing it for the first time, suffering in pajamas, drinking very strong coffee, it's 1:30 in the afternoon, this rests in me, playing in my self, your music, thank you.

  • @MrHombrelobo A simple thank you would have sufficed, but yeah, sure... hit us up with some run-on sentences of (poetry?)

  • @MrHombrelobo funny you said yellow house

  • Stay strong, MrHombrelobo. Good music will see us through.

  • so beautiful. love his voice.
