Is there a way to change icons and such? Like to make it all the default KDE look, without the deer stuff? Pardus looks really good, but I'm not a fan of all the deer logos and icons. I would love to see a tutorial that would show me how to make it look more like the default KDE theme.
i really Like pardus. The only problem i have with it is the Small Repository. and of course the ATI fglrx drivers. i think everybody has an issue with those. :-)
Unfortunately, reviews done in a Virtual Machine are not really representative of how distros behave on real machines. Try them on a recent laptop, and plenty of potential problems appear (no wifi driver, suspend/hibernate not working, etc).
@Svarog891 if you would have seen any of my other video's you would know i normally install on a stand alone machine first before i record the video in a virtual machine mate..nuff said
@sneekylinux yep sorry mate, did not remember that :)
just sayin', I tried several of the latest KDE distros on my brand new laptop, and your review made me want to try Pardus. Can't say it performed better than the others though! Really depends on each hardware setup.
@sneekylinux not always... :P it's actually pretty zippy in a virtual machine on my main laptop, when I give it 4 cores and 4GB of RAM... :) (core i7 :P) Hard drive throughput still sucketh muchly though >.>
KDE is really forming into a great desktop, When 4 first came out i could never see it running as smooth as it does now. I almost switched over but maybe soon. Stick to my xfce cause i like fast and customizable
Nice review! I personally don't like KDE, never been a fan of the look or feel of it. Always felt bloated. But I have to say I'm really considering installing this on one of my boxes. Seems fast, smooth, clean, and definitely not bloated... ok, talked myself into it :p I'm gonna go get it n try it.
Nice review! I had the previous release installed on one of my older machines and it ran really nice. One of those distros where everything just worked perfectly out of the box once it was installed. I had some problems initially during installation, because of a garbled display as it appeared the installer did not like my video card (GeForce ti 4200). I hope that is better with this new release.

A very weak review that really shows nothing much that Pardus is capable. Do a indepth review if you.
