WOW WOW WOW!!!!! As a person who is from Dublin and has traveled with the "Lord of the Dance" troup, you play this piece with profesionalism.....well done.....loved it!! :)
The HS8 was a brilliant instrument and has fantastic editing capabilities BUT you need enormous talent to make it sound this good - no wonder it's a concert performance. Really enjoyed listening to it,
10 out of 10 for his mastery of capturing a perfect likeness to "The Lord of The Dance". He even managed to add some tapping into the piece which was amazing to hear. It's a great pity that the sountrack to the concert misses out so much like the violins, flute & the tapping in the backgroung. This one piece was far more pleasant to watch & liten to than it was to hear the sountrack after already seeing the live concert in Ireland. Again I say "10 out of 10".

I didn't know the HS-series offered these possibilities! Wonderful!

By the way... He looks as if he invented the pitch bend pedal! :)
tpmm1 4 years ago
No, Yamaha did. :-) But you can also control the tempo with it.
I also own a HS8 but never managed to make the timpani's sound so realistic. Quite amazing and good programming of drums on the MDR. Superb!

Het was een leuke tijd op de HS-6 voor mij, maar nu ben ik heel erg blij met mijn EL-90. :)
tpmm1 4 years ago
The timpani sound is from the optional AWM pack inserted underneath the keyboard.
Audioquest56 4 years ago
Scratch that last comment. It looks like he has an AVS-01 AWM expander attached underneath the MDR drive.

I agree with that

Also great how he uses both the footswitch for the glide AND the pitchbend pedal.

Nice to see some videos popping up on the HS-8.
You should put "HS-8" in your title so that it is searchable by model number.
