Saw berry at jazz fest in new Orleans rockin & Rollin with his daughter , plays ,sings & dances just like dad. What a show!! Randy Barlow from n. o. Are you out there?
Sheer rock n roll class, seen Chuck live, never had the pleasure of seeing Bo, I am sad that today's youth are served such puerile manufactured pap churned out as music, it will eventually devour itself and with luck, whither and die.
Southern blacks could'nt give a fuck about their music going mainstream. Elvis loved them because without them he wouldn't of had a career, or anything to make 'mainstream' or bring black & white together! & self appointed 'krakkkass' aint southern whites who know the truth.
@cantecleer You said it perfectly!! The hairs on the back of my neck just stood straight up and shot across the room!! It just doesn't get any better than that!!!
WOW!! These guys suffered alot but the music was great & fun. (Lookout here comes a big opinion )Now everybody act's mad & cocky noboby will ever match this class.
You know Im 21 years old and I wish that I was my age now back then so I can see these amazing musicians live, But I guess Im stuck watching it forever on youtube and only hearing it on the radio. Theres not to many men my age who say that to often.
@leathergunn I'm 44 and feel the same way, it amazes me when I hear stories of bands that played my area long ago, who was opening for them, venues that are long gone. We can thank the Gods at YouTube and sattelite radio for thinking of old fogies like us and letting these guys live on forever. Roy Orbison said it best, when asked how he'd like to be remembered he said "He'd like to just be remembered"
The reason BO D guitar look like that because it is based off 1 of the first guitars the old blues men made way back out of a cigar box that's why it look like that Bo stayed true to the origin of the early guitars for blues players pure class so now you know thanks
@chrsirian leave it to a dumb ass to trash elvis. everyones gotta trash elvis instead of appreciating the man for actually bring black and white together go fuck yourself dude you werent even alive then to know the impact of elvis none of you self proclaimed "niggas" were southern blacks knew and love elvis because they knew if it werent for him their music wouldnt be mainstream at all .
@mofoca22 claim he stole music yeah right hes teh one who gavve credit to little richard and chuck berry and others when introducing a song for the first time on stage. look it up and listen if you dont believe me so fuck off retard
If I remember right, this was from a 1973 doc about one of Richard Nader's 'Rock, Roll and Remember' package tours, That also included The 5 Satins, Little Richard and bunch of others. Hard to believe they were all still pretty young when they played these shows.
Them guys were amazing. A friend of mine met Chuck Berry in Cleveland after his show and told me that Mr. Berry was just an absolute gentleman, a nice guy, and an amazingly wise person. That had to be one amazing show with both of those guys together.
This is an incomplete song taken from Let the Good Times Roll (1973). The actual song from the set/documentary is "Bonsoir Cherie/Johnny B. Goode" in its' entirety and it's Chuck Berry feat. Bo Diddley.

I would have loved to have seen something of Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry that is longer. The riffs they played are lifeblood for Rock Guitar.
