The other big thing also, is the endzones are only 8yds deep, and some arenas have the rear corners rounded, so that again takes away from the area.

The AFL was a breed of it's own and had some really good athletes...but lets not compare a guy like Tony Graziani (a 3rd stringer for the Falcons at one time) or Chris Griesen to Tom Brady... Sure there is an occasional guy like Rashied Davis or Kurt, but those guys are few in number.

True, the Offensive Lines are probably worse but the AFL player need a different skill set than the NFL players.

For example, a RB with a fast 100 yd dash and a slow 40 is gonna be worse than a RB with the opposite.

QBs also have to learn to recognize the defense and find out which receivers will be open in about 2 seconds each play...
