You wouldn't do that to a rabid dog, so why should vermin be any different? I say kill them. Douse them in the strongest bleach and dispose of them safely.

We have gotten a ton of mice through out my place. I just moved here too! How would I clean up all the poop and pee they leave in the ceilings and walls? Isn't it REALLY unhealthy to leave there? I rent, not own...

I've been hearing these noises at night for the last week or two, and I suspect it's mice. I put rat poison out, but they don't seem to be stopping. The weird thing is, where I keep hearing it is upstairs. Not sure how they got up there, possibly through the wall/floor. My house is older, so it's hard to really secure every crack and crevice. I'm not really sure what they're feeding on, there's not much up there in terms of food. Maybe a crumb or two on the floor.

I used to catch them alive by pushing em to corners then inside a container, threw em on the road.but now they become more N mote active, so I'm using glue traps, I buy glue n put it on carton . At this moment writing I have 2 mouser cough squeezing and squealing

Glue traps are just barbaric, the mice take too long to die. Mice traps are more humane and you can reuse them. Moth balls have been taken out of the market over here in the UK, I suspect due to health and safety laws.

@thecoolchipys Pilot lights are for gas stoves. They are on bottom by drawer you pull out. They stay lit at all times & when stove or oven is turned on it produces a flame. A heating unit (furnace) and hot water tank can have them too.

Snap traps are cruel and not so efective... they might just cut off their tails or a leg. And glue pads are just plain cruel... they die from starvation.
