@pIMpPinKpAntHeR * The first month or so is important for a baby's health, so in terms of overall national health *costs*, it is better that they receive good care early on. * Unless mom is boozing/on drugs/etc, the baby should be covered no matter what complications there are. Otherwise, it is like dropping coverage when you find out you have cancer or diabetes: you have health insurance, unless you need it.

Dude I wish we did take care of our own. But we don't, we let our people die, we let our people suffer.. I know this, I am American, I been trying to get healthcare for over 2 years. I been "denied" because i'm 30 pounds of muscle over their required weight... you have to make less then 800 a month to get county insurance, and less then 1000 a month to get medicare... My leg is killing me, and I can't get coverage anywhere.. Our healthcare system is a joke.... thats why we rank number 37 of all.

My wife and daughter were born in Canada, I feel like moving there myself, and use my healthcare skills to help out a country that really cares about it's people... Here in America, the system is starting to sicken me, I master in forensics and am in school for nursing have a HHA certification and graduated with high honors.... I love america, but hate our system.. I love Canada too, the land where my little girl took her first breath and my wife also:). I make make the switch soon.

Its not the government that decided he's too fat - its the private insurance industry. The government needs to provide a public option, or a single payer system - in the VERY least they need to cease pre-existing conditions, if we are to stop this kind of nonsense from happening in the private sector.

Health Insurance companies collect your payments and after taking their cut, disburse payments to doctors that treat you. They are soulless middlemen that look for ways to screw you so they can keep even more of your money.
They don't take care of you, nor provide health care. They are literally PIMPS who take their cut and pay the doctors.

I was born a little chubby and stayed that way all throughout my childhood even though I was extremely hyper active. Now I don't get out much and I'm still skinny no matter how much or what I eat. They shouldn't have such knee-jerk reactions.
