BTW, im not referring to accents or costumes. i think the fact they sang in another language, it was done rather nicely. i am always impressed when i hear someone sing English, when it not the language they usually use. very impressed with thier English, very good. =)

They did a nice rendition of it as a Show Tune, but being a true Queen fan, and i have been listening to this since the 70's, they messed up the American version horribly. these young kids hearing it for the first time as Beast fans thought it was good, but they actually did a piss poor job at it. Lots of words are missing, it's a classic and some songs they shouldnt do like that, very sad indeed. Freddy Mercury would roll over in his grave to know they chopped it up like that. =(

But like you said, performing in non-native language is hard. I'm not a native English speaker but I'm studying in the US. So, I respect anyone's effort in trying other language. Speaking at first is intimidating,let alone having to perform like this.

Don't compare them, each one gives a charm to the song : if only one had missed, it would have been totally different and the effect would'nt have been this good. It's not a battle! It's an all.
