dude cmon you ve handled all but the output format for digital..whats thepoint to be in need of having a 13 pin to usb or 5 pin midi converter after al that effort youre in need of some tech update ...anyway string tension looks like turkish delight and not the first jackson i see that softness how they achieve that id like to know for sure
Dude this is amazing if you would so kind as to make me a track of you playin the sustainer to use for a presentaion i am doing for my school i would greatly appreciate that.
Hi may i know where do u connect the hexpander to? if lets say i wanted to connect direct to my audio interface to be set as midi, will it be able to send data to my DAW as midi data?
i see you have two jacks and no Y cables ... please tell me does the main jack alone use all of the ghost functions and and magnetic functions (could you switch between piezo, magnetic pickups or both with just the main jack alone)? and can you use both jacks to split your magnetic signal to amp and your acoustic signal to p.a.? i keep talking to the guy at graphtech about this and he gives me pretty unclear answers
@TheSentinals101 I think it starts having effect on your stings to long after wich deffets the think in my opinion.
I'm waiting until Moog guitars start selling the pickups seperatly.. On the Moog you have a real true polyphonique guitare, and the notes start buzzing as soon as you touch the string without even picking it.
Just wondering, how well is the overall quality on the trem? Is it pretty comparable to that of a OFR? I'm thinking of building a RG style guitar but would like to add the graphtech in instead of an edge. What do you think?
I was really amazed how well the LB63 performs. I use a 90 germany Floyd. They both compare and perform at a high percentage. Plus the LB63 has the string saver teflon tech...
@VHTLtdDmarzio I've heard good things about Bareknuckle warpigs and Nailbombs ( warpig being the higher output one. They aren't active but sound really good.
Bareknuckle just launched a new website with sound clips for all there pickups.
I could care less about all the effects, but I'd like to hear what that thing sounds like with just amp distortion and the different pickups with different settings
@SkinUnzipper I'm putting a Deathbucker in the neck position of two of my guitars, and Lace Drop and Gains in an LTD FX260 pretty soon. I'm also thinking of trying out some 1meg pots. Hopefully I'll get satisfactory results.
@VHTLtdDimarzio Cool, I hope you post a video with them in. Alumitone really does look like the shit right now but I could get easier, almost drop in replacements for less. I'm still thinking it's worth it for the specs, the look, and the fun of it.
@SkinUnzipper I'm listening to these clips again with a better sound card and these pickups dont really sound too great. I'm most likely going try and sell them, though they may just end up in my junk drawer since I doubt they'll sell. God, these sound awful.
@alienrush Men I have a Dragonfly with that same sustainer and I installed a Baggs piezo with their Control-X. How did you dealed with the ground loops, and how did you conect your batteries (one or two??).
Love the stuff you do with the sustainer in the very first clip

TheSentinals101 10 months ago

smartti1970 10 months ago
@smartti1970 with the sustainiac youy lose your neck pickup and its extremely thin compared to the fernandes
TheSentinals101 10 months ago
@TheSentinals101 sorry i was joking, could you post a demo ?
smartti1970 10 months ago

Well.. lets see. A vox 30 watt amp, dbx compressor, Roland Super JV 1080, Gi-20,
BOSS SX700, BOSS Super overdrive, Octover box, Mackie Mixer. Orange wah pedal
I put the Vox in the closet with a bunch of sheets and pillows 30' away from me
and got a pretty good sound. 90% percent of the tone your hearing is attributed to the guitar
