anyone know why when i make mine that sometimes they smoke and other times they flame out?

yeah, they flame if you have any oxygen gettin in... for it to smoke and not flame it has to not have any oxygen getting in... wso wrap it tighter with more foil... =]

no ping pong balls... chopped up about 4 of them n wrapped them in foil... then lit it lol
