Anyone ever notice how the land mass from the breakaway from the age of the super continent is roughly the same over millions of years regardless of global warming(which yes has been proven to already of happened a few times)?It's because water takes the path of least resistance(which means it stays as low as possible).So why then would the Great Lakes area connect with the sea when the great lakes area sits so much higher?

And although the mountains have eroded to hills due to glacial movements,the area still sits alot higher than sea level.People just see large bodies of water and think that HAS to be sea level when in actuality it is not.The last time the great lakes (drained) into the gulf of mexico it cooled down the equatorial waters and caused an ice age.And in case that happens again the water will freeze up again,the land mass will take previous shapes and what not

Funny truth.The great lakes sit so much higher than the oceans.The canal built connecting the great lakes to the ocean is the reason the great lakes water level is slowly lowering.Now if a waterway connecting the Gulf of mexico and the Great Lakes did happen to form,the Great Lakes would actually dran and dissapear.Not become connected to them.This is in part due to the fact Michigan is actually the tip of an ancient mountain chain.

Earthquake or not how exactly do you explain how a mountain range with peaks of over 14,000' can be swallowed by the Pacific Ocean. There is no way that any magnitude of earthquake can displace that much land mass (basically sucking it down into the mantle) so that sea water can come that far inland (as far inland as Denver, CO). I agree with the California inundation but am beyond skeptical that the Rocky Mountains could be effected in the way described.
