I always thought that the gyms in emerald were the toughest, wouldn't you agree?

Wattson, Flannery, Norman, Winona, Tate and Liza, and Juan were power houses!

I was always underleveled, and low on proper firepower.

In fact, even though gen.3 was always my favourite generation, I say it's too hard!

Man...that overheat is deadly. It's like the Hyper Beam for fire types...

In a way, you're right. Statistically, it is even more powerful than Fire Blast but not quite as powerful as Hyper Beam.

Base Power:

Fire Blast - 120

Overheat - 140 + drops Special Attack 2 levels

Hyper Beam - 150 + forces you to miss next turn

And I'm betting it's more accurate than fire blast as well?

A little bit. Fire Blast has 85% accuracy, Overheat has 90% accuracy.
