Very helpful. That rhythm has been bugging me - when I play it on my cello the 16th notes sound too long. Keeping your example in my head should help.
@stringvideos Is really useful for your net students to :P I started to play cello some months ago and sometimes I look at your videos, because really help me. Now Im with suzuki 3 and dotzauer etudes, Hope to see more cello videos. And thank you for the ones you have (sorry my bad english)
Looking down the list of related videos, I note with enthusiasm that many of them are pieces that I learned early on in my violinning career on the accursed Suzuki method (when I say early on, I'm still early on, but less so than before. Yes.) Anyway, I don't believe it to be co-incidence that these tuneskies are together so my question is simply where did this 'playlist' come from?
wow !!!! I Like it !! I'm cellist... ok well a pre basic cellist I need your help... in my channel you can find a video where I 'm playing a pre basic melodic of a song... please tell me about !
Just wondering, my cello teacher can play the violin and viola as well, and apparently you do as well, so my question is...if you know how to play the cello, that means you can easily learn or know how to play the violin and viola? thanks! :D
Well, violin and viola are "backwards" to the cellist in terms of biomechanics. But, having learnt rhythm, coordination, etc., each consecutive instrument gets easier, in a way.
The hardest thing to adjust was the reduced weight, inertia, and balance in the bow arm, which took longer to fine-tune than intonation.
I can read in four clefs, loco and 1 octave up or down on the three instruments, so that's not an issue - a result of church gigs and sight-reading chamber music scores.
I heard that this song is about a witch that rides on a pizza...

@ImmeWho Viola is even more similar to the cello. They're both tuned an octave apart.

Cello is the best instrument on the Earth! You take almost all of your songs from Suzuki cello-books.
