Watching this live has been one of the most moving moments of my entire life. We truly miss president Hinckley, and I'm so grateful for his legacy and for having modern prophets today. I know he was a true prophet of God just like President Monson is now.

I have watched this video numerous times and still tear up every single time. This man was more than just the Prophet. I have never met him personally and yet I feel he is as my own grandfather. His love radiates to all the world. He was a mensenger from God.. Thanks be to God for sending prophets to the earth in our day.

I was actually there! In the balcony! Oh my goodness this is probably the prettiest song ever! The people who created the slide show did a fantastic job! Thanks to all! Especially to our beloved prophet who I have no doubt is now walking with his wife in heaven now. I don't think they showed it on camera, but when I was there, after they had stopped singing this song, almost all of the women from the choir pulled out tissues and where crying. So sad! Thank you for capturing this. What a beautiful tribute to a prophet. I can't even beging to describe the impact President Hinckley had on my testimony and love for the Savior. He is missed dearly, but the Lord will continue to move the work forward with President Thomas S. Monson.

The melody is actually a traditional American hymn tune called Resignation that can be found in William Walker's Southern Harmony. The text is by Issac Watts. This particular arrangement is by Mack Wilberg and is one of my absolute favorites.

Thank you for posting ... This song invokes such a strong message of truth from the spirit within me everytime I listen to it. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir can touch the depths of your soul with their music ... Truely what choirs of angels must sound like!! President Hinckley will be dearly missed but what an honor to be alive in this time foretold by generations of prophets. I will always attribute my personal depth & relationship with our Sacred Lord Savior to the kindness taught by Beloved Gordon B Hinckley. I was so saddened by his passing. However he can see his beautiful wife and longtime absent mom now. Our church is so misrepresented. It is all about the sacred eternal true family.

It would not be wise to devalue the life of our Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley. Still, can anyone question what the true source of Pres. Hinckley's strength was? Gordon B. Hinckley and his many accomplishments are a pure & bright example of what the Lord Jesus Christ can do through a faithful disciple who humbly and obediently walks in the directed paths that God lays out for His followers. Amen to that. How wonderful is the Gospel of Jesus Christ? (Restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith through the hands of ancient prophets and apostles who received their keys from the hands of the Lord God; carried through succession from Brother Joseph down the line to President Hinckley and now to our new beloved Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson). There is nothing more beautiful than to know that we can all be friends and family, again, in a much more sacred happy and stable place w/ GOD!
