So far, all I've been able to hear from the Western media was 'fabricated whining' of the LTTE terrorist group that the Sinhalese majority is discriminating minority Tamils. Yes, it must have happened decades ago, but really, I mean really, is it happening now? NO. There are more Tamils living in Colombo alongside Sinhalese. Tamils are in the government, private sector and everything in between. I'm glad WSJ pointed out the history. Kudos to you Sir.

It was about time that Wall Street acknowledged it. All these westerners were telling President that the war was unwinnable and so, to do deals with terrorists. Now they have no choice but to accept this GOSL has done it. Political solutions will follow in due course, but that does not mean that 14% of tamil people will get 40% of land. Everybody keeps what one owns, but no privileges. Accept equality or if not go. BTW it is guaranteed that at the end everybody will get 6 ft by 2 ft to lie in.
