  • Sounds really good. Saw them live in April 2011 and God, they rock hard! Sweet are fantastic.

  • I dont want to know their name because without Brian Connolly they are not the same

  • This takes me back to 1975,good song!

  • Wow, they sound amazing!! =D To bad all of the original members aren't alive.

  • What a great band. Timeless...

  • aw man, what irony!! " ...'cause you don't look the same, as you did before" THAT came back to haunt them! XD They still sound great, though!

  • @nosleeplisa my thoughts exactly

  • first what I thought as i saw that clip is ...what the fuck is Sammy Hagar doing in the Sweet xD

  • Andy Scott has a version of Sweet going and so does Steve Priest, so what version is this?Plus, how could you call this band Sweet with only one original member?Oh wait, there's Guns 'n' Roses!

  • Con muy poquitos años bailaba esto como loca encima del sofá....la buena música nunca muere.....Viva Sweet....................siempre

  • Captain Kangaroo is there at 2:34.

  • Andy Scott is in that line up somewhere....

  • Is there anyone in this clip that was in The Sweet in the beginning?

  • No Brian, No Sweet!

    This sounds really really bad!

  • funny thing, i read that they sold 50 million albums

  • GRANDE CLASSICO DEL ROCK CAZZUTO,SWEET CI MANCATE

  • SHIT

  • yay!!!!!!

  • ceb703 i dont know how old you are but take a picture now and take a look in the same amount of time it happens to us all dude

  • SOUND FUCKIN GREAT!!!

  • Do you think they had thought thru how much they would change over time when they first sang this song .... LOL

  • re hollies type band.. The Sweet had every single original member in the line up when they had all the hits!

  • FABULOSOS!

  • I would rather see a band with one or two of the original members, any day, than a tribute band. For one reason, the sheer panache of it, plus few, if any tribute bands still can touch the musicianship of the original, therefore, when I am in Europe, I will try to see Sweet. I was around during the era, and it is still exciting to see bands. Who would ever have thought that we could see YES, Sweet, etc. in 2011? I mean, it is great. Sure, they look diffident, but it is still an honor to see them

  • What the fuck is this shit. No Brian, No Sweet

  • @clairehotty1

    RIght, bro.

    And they're so fatty . . .

  • i got nothing against oldie comebacks, but i think if 50% of the band is dead...you should maybe lettum rest in peace

  • stuck in the 70's?

  • Looks like the sweet have been made into a cabaret band.......shame, they were bloody good in their hayday.

We went to a sixties weekend a few years ago, it was very good but lots of the bands only featured 1 original member, some featured none!

They had a Hollies "type" band on doing all the hits very well but they only had 1 original Holly, who happened to be the original bass player who left long before the hits started.

Enjoy these bands for what they are, don't take them too seriously.

  • @orriblebob what if they are cabaret ? How ridiculous do you think they would look if they were ancient rockers..yes they would be a parody of themselves.

  • @edenic Calm down mate!, its only a comment about a video.

  • You mean....I don't wanna know you're name, cuz you don't sound the same!

  • Nobody will ever be like Sweet. They are awesome!

  • WHO R THEY KIDDING ITS A INSULT TO BRIAN BAN THEM

  • This is a insult taking the piss, there is no Sweet without Brian,Kareoke comes to my mind its not right.

  • simply playback

  • Hmmmmmmmm 1 original band member - Andy natch!, 2 dead and 1 living in USA into property dealing - rock and roll!.........Big Sweet fan by the way, used to play Hell Raiser and Ballroom Blitz on the record player before school in '73.......yep that old! and saw them live in '74.......ears rang for days, still loudest band I've seen and I've seen Motorhead since - no contest

  • Reminds me of that Hugh Grant movie were he's a one hit wonder 20 years later singing at shopping mall openings, lol.

  • They look older than 1975 --but STILL deliver ---lol :)

  • lip sink

  • That's awesome news Velmapod. Restores faith in Rock & Roll, :O) and all without calling names ! Woooo Hoooo!

  • This video is from 2004 - Just because you can hear some people in the back ground doesn't mean that the audio is correct. I didn't say they suck, i said i think they synced that clip is all. lots of people do that. You just said "gr8 2 see them still going" wtf man? it's 2011. this clips terrible. i am sure you can find a batter clip somewhere that is more up to date and not synced. SDP1677 - cheese ass mfer

  • Amazed 2 see Brian play the bass like that! Wow. Gr8 2 see the band r still going. LONG LIVE THE SWEET!

  • i watched this one twice now - i would have to , and really really want to, hear and see them in person to make a 100% judgment but just from examining this vid here - i would have to say that hey are lip syncing so that they can sound like they used to. makes me sad to say that though. they are heros of rock. It is possible though that they just can't do it like it supposed to be done now though - we all get old. I hope I am wrong. :O( sweet rocks.

  • @RockAnAhardSpot I have seen the current Andy Scott's Sweet (new Bass player now) and believe me they can pull off the original sounds. Andy always did the high falsetto and still does. He is both amazing guitarist and singer. All 4 of the band sing, so the big harmonies are all still there. They play a lot in Holland & Germany, but now and then can be seen in UK and other countries. Catch them if you can, seriously you won't be disappointed. can't say the same about Steve Preist's Sweet in USA

  • @RockAnAhardSpot you think they was mimeing m8?? ROFL!! u can here the crowd applording in the background u idiot!! LONG LIVE THE SWEET. Brill 2 see the guys r still going in 2011!!!

  • For me that was an unexpected Till Schweiger cameo @ 0:52

  • Andy Scott was the only original.( Left side) Interesting that they used the overdub of the original lead part in the end.

  • this stinks

  • thats them they sound pretty good.....

  • is that Sammy Hagars younger brother?

  • @CLEVERDEVICES he does look like sammy hagar lol !!!!

  • Who the fuck are these homosexuals, they are Sweet impersonators. I saw them last week in my local pub, The Bunchacunts Arms.

  • They really let themselves go...

  • The lead singer is the fox. LMAO

  • THIS IS SWEET??????????????????????

  • singer has a massive head

  • It is awesome to see the pictures of the original Sweet with Brian being slipped in here. Thanks for keeping it alive..,rip Brian and Mick.Lost but not forgotten.

  • I think they are OK. its a fun night out

  • this is total bullshit, they are singing on top of a recorded track. the music and vocals are prerecorded and they are pretending to be some great vocal band.

  • @olhobbler I was thinking the same thing!

  • wait, i know the singer isnt the original one but are the other guys all from the original sweet?

  • who are these guys?

  • sorry, i don´t like andy, this is a cover band, but not a good one

  • When you see Andy on that guitar you can feel your back in the 70s, and the group as a whole do The Original Sweet proud.

  • It is The Sweet , the one run by original guitarist Andy Scott and the vocals is Tony O Hora , but i believe there is someone else in lead vocals present day , this video is from 2004, the song is from 1975.

Even though Brian Connolly is no long lead vocals i have seen these play at our local Hall For Cornwall, and they are the nearest anyone alive TODAY will get to see The Sweet live.

  • @Urko2005 thanx for the info...

    Connolly and Tucker RIP

  • So who the F%#k is this????

  • Okay This is NOT ...The Sweet..! ! ...ya can tell by the lead singers voice...it's too soft...man...!>!.!.

  • umm r u sure these are Sweet? umm.. are u sure ur sure?

  • Sure - yes - but one of the greatest memories very early teen. Suzi, Slade and Sweet ruled, when I was around 10;o)

  • The Band could have clothes that FIT !!!

  • OMFG! -SHEILDS EYES!-

WTF HAPPENED TO THE 80'S??? WHAT??

  • WTF ???

  • Look at the crowd-90% were released from the nursing home to get exercise- this video is a county fair gig-LOL- didnt i see the lead singer working at wal-mart !!

  • Look at the crowd-90% were released from the nursing home to get exercise- this video is a county fair gig-LOL

  • Unless you have all the original people...DONT

  • I was just a kid when they came out and always liked their music. It was very good for drag racing it always gave me that extra edge and chicks dig it.

  • They don't look the same, the way they did before

  • @thundersnake1 cmon dude they are old school guys better than todays crap

  • WHO ARE THESE FAT FUX??? IS THERE 1 ORIGINAL MEMBER HERE?

  • Comment removed

  • very good

  • You guys still have it, Had sex many times listening to this song! :)

  • It's cool when old groups can come back with the original members and still kick it.

    thanks.

  • This is NOT Sweet - this is more like Saccharin.

  • @devtrev HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!

  • Echt das war doch noch coole Musik

  • This must be Europe. Europe is so cool.

  • who are these guys?

  • @andyc163 sweet but older

  • @andyc163 ae you supid?

  • @andyc163 are you stupid?

  • @vnz75 No I'm not stupid you prat!..I realise they are a send up of Sweet with Andy on guitar there. At least he looks like hime but they are not SWEET!

  • I just wanna grab a woman and kiss her...........forever.

    GODS!..Fox on the Run isn't a song....it's an anthem.

  • @jackiebaron VERY WELL PUT!

  • LOL, mein Gott Walter!!!

Dss einzige ur-mitglied ist Andy Scott, der aber noch gut mithält!!

  • Music just went to hell from 1990 till present.

  • @967150 Oh, so true ! You hit the nail on the head.

  • @967150 im 15 and i agree the music today is absolutely pathetic. people thinking they are all gangsta by saying yo and in da house and all of the techno that 90% of people are starting to get into under the age of twenty just sounds like computerised onnoying noise and the makers always sound shit live because they don't have the aid of a magic microphone. i can't help but think what music will be like in twenty years. if you can call it music. it makes me sad.

  • @readmycomments100

You're 15? You sound about seventy. For Fucks sake go and enjoy your youth before it disappears completely. Or stop pretending you're fifteen. Whatever comes easiest.

  • @illman76 Someone is giving me shit over the internet.. it is going to scar me for life. im happy, a have friends and shit and are you assuming im not enjoying my youth because of my comment.... wow... so i fucking hate todays music. does that mean im unhappy and shit?.. i'll tell you something, assumig so much when you don't know me is kinda ignorant. JUST SAYING. don't bother replying. i don't care what you say.

  • @illman76 Not being illiterate doesn't mean advanced age or lack of fun, jackass. It's nice for some of us to be able to read Utube comments w/o needing an idiot deciphering system.

  • @readmycomments100 Hey don't listen to them. I agree with you

  • @967150 yea well thats what happens wen ya get old

  • @967150 Not totally true but for a lot yes.

  • @967150 1995 to present. Nirvana and Alice in Chains were good.

  • @967150 So, so true. It is time for a revival.

  • Que grandes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Algo horteras eran... pero en su tiempo digo yo que era lo normal....

    Grandioso tema...

  • haha i loved this so much when i saw it on tv i had to look it up again. im fourteen and i was with like 8 friends and we were killing time and this came on. We all thought it was gonna be old and boring. but we all loved it

  • @readmycomments100 EXACTLY the same happened to me. Ok I didn't watch it with 8 friends, but when I saw this performance on TV about 2 years ago I was nothing but fascinated ^-^ lasted till today and I'm a big fan now :)

  • this kind of music is the best there ever will be.. I'm just 16 and I listen to 70's 80's music every day.. I hate that shitpop music and that kind of shit.. This is way and way better.. Sweet RHCP AC/DC and so on are the fcking best!!

  • Right on! The best years were 1964-1975

  • well done boys, you can mime as well as the early line-up...

  • Paul Mario Day and Mal McNulty and Tony O'Hora really good the Sweet-singer after Brain Connolly ! ! !

  • Wow! I think I just had a flashback. Not the the singers but the music

  • DO CARALHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GREAT

  • looks to me like a fat sammi hagar

  • damn! These guys still got it!

  • The singer just sounds terrible. Good for Andy for trying to keep the "Sweet" up but sounds awful, compared to the original, very "nasal" voice like Motley Crue or something like that. Good bless Brian!!!.

  • @fandepucca I think the new singer is better than this guy (on lead vocals)

  • simply great

  • What the hell, that lead singer has a gigantic head.

  • I'm a foxy who's been on the run most of my life! I'm too busy running to catch the sympathy. :-| LOVE the song. Who's that singer?

  • @Monica1C3 the singer is Tony OHora, but I prefer Steve Priest ;D

  • Sounds like a kevin Debrow wanna be singing but it's still not bad. Iwould go see them. I like it. It's hard to replace certain singers and this guy plays guitar too.

  • NaHHHHHHH

  • I was lucky enough to work with the original 70's The Sweet and believe me Brian would be only happy about one thing, that someone remembers him and I am sure he is smiling at this, long live his legacy and music.

  • Totally agree Uniteds Red Army!...this fill-in looks like "George W.Bush Jr on acid" and stumbles on the high notes!

  • To Brian's climbing out and after the Sweet flopped in the 80s, should Andy have finished the chapter "Sweet". Thus only one monument is destroyed, because everything what started afterwards as "Andy Scott's Sweet" can not even get roughly at this what Sweet in the 70s made so unmistakeable and unique. Lots of love from Germany.

  • All i can think of when i see this is :

I don't wanna know your name

cause you don't look the same

    the way you did before

  • With whole hearted repsect for this lead sing. Like someone else said here no brian connelly no sweet. Brian was amazing. RIP

  • i cant believe these guys are thw same handsom dudeds that sang this song in 1975

  • John Frusciante sing this song without playback

  • i really would have thought this was cool if they really played the song live :(

  • My favorite was Steve Priest. I think Andy should have kept his other lead singer he had a very powerful voice. I don't like this guy, but it's a great song;)

  • If you want to see the true musician behind this take a look at BAROCKESTRA Fantastic Guitar work from Steve Grant who's never appreciated for the talent he gives to these bands

  • Not the same, F-Foxy....good effort.

  • It seems impossible to me that still they support this magic and this potential. The voices continue giving surprises to the contemporary history of the rock.

    Congratulations SWEET.

  • one of them had to be an original. i think? lol

  • Obviously this isn't the original Sweet, but then who are these??? where did they play this at?

Brian connely is loved and miss them all.

This version is also good , but I am faithful to the original and brian! thank you for posting,

  • I beg to differ. They did a great job on this. This is good...

  • This is just shit its like when they tried reuniting queen without freddie mercury and the doors without jim morrison the sweet without brian connoly just dosent work.

  • @tonymontana1974 Ya, we should respect Brian's memory and his body of work and not slander it like this...

  • @tonymontana1974 The thing is that some folk were not lucky enough to be able to go see bands like Queen and Sweet live, this may not be as good as the original line up, but it gives you a taste of what they were like, better than nothing, or a DVD, i suppose

  • @tonymontana1974 Or Dr Feelgood without Lee Brilleaux.

  • @tonymontana1974 AMEN to that....

  • @tonymontana1974 i thought he looked young

  • Sadly missed here are original singer god BRIAN CONNOLLY, drummer giant MICK TUCKER and bassist STEVE PRIEST doing the second lead vocals.

  • @RockbertoRocks I am so glad to hear someone recognise Steve Priest. He had a very powerful voice and very much a classic metal voice. I would love to have heard him do more vocal work.

  • sweet is sooo sweet!

  • shit this toon is sweet eh

  • They sound waaaay better than most bands that still are around

  • Terrible!

  • you're terrible for saying so!

  • Really?

  • who is the singer?

  • The 70s and 80s were way better to grow up in than today for the kids.

  • You got that right my friend.

  • What? And miss out on all the:

'kill yourself, lets all just commit suicide'

'I gots more bitches and money so you best stfu before I bust a cap in yo ass'

'ooh baby, baby, baby, baby (20 more times), lets take it off and get nasty in the motel wit some crack and treat me like a ho'

There's nothing like watching Limp Bizkit make millions with his rap version or the Who's Behind Blue Eyes complete with the usual mindless repetition and Speak and Spell cameo.

8 million teen can't be wrong

  • @Maxwell2323 right on, the smoke was a lot better then

  • @Maxwell2323 ya think...i have to deal with twilight fan girls and rap i wish i can go back to the 70's and 80's to party

  • @Maxwell2323

And why is that so? because it's very easy to have a statement without arguments to suppress that.

Maarten, 20 years old, student Legal Practices, no problems so far!

  • @Maxwell2323 Especially in the 1970's.

There are so many reasons why this decade was THE GREATEST, that I cannot even begin to list them here.

  • @Maxwell2323 some of us kids know what good music is. i still wish i was born in the 70s

  • Hes called Tony O Hora

  • thx

  • 70s and 80s were a lot better to live through than society as it is today

  • @Urko2005 You got that right!!

  • fucking boomers, you grew up eating orange and cheese flavoured substitute and now that translates to your music. go do the mom clap at a 150$/seat fleetwood mac "reunion"

  • is it live because it does not seem like it is...

  • Thank theuncle321 for the answer. I have here something about "Andy Scott's Sweet". Is a good version, energic, but obviously in the seventies was another thing... I'm agree with Unitedsredarmy, without Connolly the real Sweet can't exist. But time will pass for everyone in the end...

Connolly was killed by alcoohol, but who we think we are for judicate? So many musicians was killed or destroyed or loose they're mind for alcoohol or drugs, just like so much guys in the street every day...

  • A great version! Too many rockers (Bob Seger, et al) change the music because they're just too old. Sweet always kicked ass and always will. Fox On the Run is one of those tunes that always gives you a spark. If you've got 'em, smoke 'em!

  • It might not be the original members..But its not to bad.

  • some are original members

  • @ccjr39 What you see here is "AS" - Andy Scott's Sweet!

Andy (founder and last surviving hero of my childhood days) is the guitar player to the left. The other guys are replacements, sure, since Steve lives in the US and doesn't do tours anymore.

I was lucky enough to see a concert of them here in Munich in early 2008.Belive me mate: they are still great!

    R.I.P. Mick and Brian

  • Ive seen em few years back in our local Hall for Cornwall in Truro.

Andy Scott is still as cool as he looked in the 70s, well worth seeing

  • Sorry, that's kind of disappointing... isn't it.. oh well back to the 70s I guess :)
