It's Valentines Day, and I just finished reading a bit of Fan facts about Gordon, and his birthday is on Valentines Day ... so Happy Birthday Gordon!! lol
I think the biggest problem I had with the movie was that the ages were all screwed up. Although the idea of Alan being a good ten years younger than Scott may have worked, having Gordon as a young 18-year-old didn't. He was supposed to have had a career in WASP before his joined IR, but at 18, that obviously wouldn't have happened. Didn't Jeff send his sons to college/university before allowing them to join IR? It's not very realistic.
The movie was a complete disaster in my opinion. Thunderbirds is about the team working together to complete a rescue. Instead we get most of the Thunderbirds trapped in space and the film is mostly about Alan :(
It could be why the live action Thunderbird movie did not do so well. The characters did not hold true to the original tv series. See what happens when you mess with perfection?

Actuly in the kive action movie
on his wall picture it shows him wering a thunderbird 3 suit
Also thunderbird 3 carries 5 people

I think he was like the co-pilot of thunderbird 3. I remember that Gordon did accompy Alan on some of the missions, and the others didn't
