  • Thats almost a death a year!

  • I wonder why roll cage was not strong enough, it certainly gave up because his body got tremendous blunt force hit.

  • Where the fuck is his BODY??? : P

  • @OtomoTenzi in grave silly

  • @OtomoTenzi look him up on liveleak . com. the pictures are pretty graphic. no lie

  • @Chukwillard thats messed up! He was missing a chunk of arm.

  • #1 Rudd Fan. Red Rooster!!!

  • 60-94 just like senna :(

  • No Footage Of The Crash. Just The Announcement

  • Rodney, was my friend rip, Ted F

  • 27th death at that track in 1994....thats really sad. that track has to be haunted...

  • :(

  • if you ask me they were just bad drivers

  • @perrisdude72 nobody asked you.

  • @perrisdude72 in top motorsport there are rarely any bad drivers. Well...sometimes is, like Alex Yoong in F1 but they are rare exceptions.

  • "In Orr's death, the part that failed was a 3-inch, screw-like piece - called a stud - that held the right rear shock absorber to the car, according to experts hired by the newspaper. Without the shock absorber locked firmly into place, the car could bounce drastically out of control."

    - Orlando Sentinel June 26, 1994

  • "Racing tires built by Hoosier did not contribute to Orr's wreck, as drivers and owners suggested after the crash. At the time of their deaths, Orr and Bonnett were using Hoosier tires, which in recent years has been challenging Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in recent years for a bigger share of the racing market. In tests commissioned by the Sentinel, Standards Testing Laboratories of Massillon, Ohio, found that Orr's tires met all construction, design and compound standards."

  • My last name is Orr (no relation) and Im from Franklin NC, just a few miles from Rodney's home town of Robbinsville. They named a road after him. The Rodney Orr Parkway. What a shame. Wish I could have seen him race

  • Rodney, we haven't forgot you. #37

  • R|P

  • who was the last driver killed at daytona? was there anyone since Earnhardt?

  • @C0LL1N The last driver partaking in a race who died is Bryan Cassell, who was a motorcycle racer who died in a practice crash on October 18, 2003.

  • The tire wars were tragic. Sad that a lot of race fans want them back.

  • @AndyMarquisLIVE yeah... people insult goodyear left and right but compared to what we saw from Hoosier and what we see in other series with other tires, Goodyear is probably the best for NASCAR

  • @erasetoimprove Doesnt ARCA still use Hoosier?

  • @AndyMarquisLIVE Well I think tire wars can be good thing but hoosier have make a mistake at this time when they make tire and it is very unfortunate that this guys died. I think there is also another men who died with hoosier tire.

  • god damn hoosier tires

  • @snappy452 They should have known those tires werent made for long distance racing. They are short track, short distance tires and always will be.

  • @snappy452 got news for ya Goddyear aint No Better

  • @99boyz Two men (Orr and Bonnett) died using their tires. NASCAR used them for one season before outright BANNING them. I have news for you - you speak without knowledge of the subject. Hoosier makes short track tires, their compounds arent tough enough to stand up to superspeedway racing.

  • @snappy452 they were in nascar for 4 years not 1

    1988-1994

  • @99boyz goes to show you just how bad they were, i couldnt name any driver before 94 to use them.

  • @99boyz thats 6 years
